The auction of unserviceable items, including wooden, steel, and iron materials, was successfully
conducted in the Conference Hall of Government Degree College, Bijbehara, today. The process
was organized and supervised by the Auction Committee, with the Principal of the college, Prof
Yasmeen Bashir, the Advisory Committee Convenor and senior expert Prof. Bilal Ahmad
Khanday, Prof Nazir Ahmad Malla, Dr Tanveer Ahmad, members of the auction committee in
attendance.
Pre-Auction Activities:
1. The items to be auctioned were thoroughly inspected by experts from the Government Joinery
Mill, who provided an estimated reserve price of ₹67,665 (file enclosed).
2. An Auction Notice was published in leading daily newspapers across the Kashmir Valley to
invite registered bidders (file enclosed).
3. A total of 17 bidders registered for the auction, each depositing CDRs of ₹5,000 as per the
guidelines.
Auction Proceedings:
- The event began with the introduction of the auction process by the Convenor of the Auction
Committee.
- Bidding was conducted in four rounds, with 10 out of 17 registered bidders actively
participating.
- After competitive bidding, Mr. Javaid Ahmad emerged as the highest bidder with a final bid of
₹72,000. He was awarded the bid in accordance with the auction rules and regulations.
Post-Auction Activities:
The successful bidder, Mr. Javaid Ahmad, deposited the full amount of ₹72,000 in cash on the
spot. The deposited amount will be submitted to the Government Treasury after completing all
necessary formalities. All participating bidders and members of the Auction Committee signed
the official bidding document (file enclosed).

- The process was conducted transparently and in strict adherence to the rules.
- The presence of all members of the Auction Committee ensured a smooth and impartial
process.
- The final bid amount of ₹72,000 exceeded the reserve price, reflecting the success of the
auction.
