Calculation Report 3

The document outlines load combinations for structural performance assessment under serviceability and ultimate conditions, detailing Allowable Stress Design (ASD) and Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) methods. It specifies various loads including dead, live, wind, snow, and earthquake loads, with wind load set at 1.5 kN/m². Additionally, it mentions the use of SAP2000 software for structural analysis and lists relevant codes and standards for compliance.

Load Combinations (ASCE 7-22)

To comprehensively assess structural performance under both serviceability and

ultimate conditions, the following load combinations are employed:

Allowable Stress Design (ASD):

1. D

2. D + 0.6W (where W = wind load = 1.5 kN/m²)

Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD):

1. 1.4D

2. 1.2D + 1.0W (with W = 1.5 kN/m²)

Where:

• D = Dead Load (includes self-weight and other permanent loads)

• L = Live Load

• Lr= Roof Live Load

• S = Snow Load

• R = Rain Load

• W = Wind Load (3 kN/m² from wind tunnel testing)

• E = Earthquake Load

Analytical Tools & Design Approach

The structural analysis is performed using SAP2000, a state-of-the-art structural analysis
and design software.
