The Man of Steel On his talk show Paul Harvey had one famous speech So God made a Farmer. In
the speech he describes a farmer as firm but caring, He says, . . . It had to be somebody who d
plow deep and straight and not cut corners; somebody to seed, weed, feed, breed and rake and disc
and plow...So God made a Farmer. John Deere has helped farmers accomplished many of those
things he listed seeding, weeding, and plowing. Plowing might be last on the list for Paul
Harvey, but it is the first accomplishment of John Deere which turned into to a big and outstanding
company. John Deere created the first steel plow in a little blacksmith shop in Illinois. Farmers
had a great deal of problems when it came to plowing. The plow would try to get through the dark
and rich dirt. Then in a matter of moments, the plow would be full of dirt that farmers would have
to quit plowing and scrape off the dirt (OH, DEERE). The black soil is what caused the plow to
get full of wet dense dirt which that called Gumbo (John Deere, That s Who). John Deere decided
he wants to enhance the plow (OH, DEERE). John Deere fiddled with the steel blades off of a
sawmill, he thought that the curved and shiny might go through the gumbo (John Deere, That s
Who). To get started, John Deere first used a saw blade, then he modified it by cutting the teeth off.

Approximately 1,600 plows were made in the year of 1850 (John Deere). John Deere also started
making many different tools to help improve the steel plow for farmers. With the changing of
technology in the farming industry there is an abundance different tools to help farmers. Since 1837,
John Deere has delivered innovative products of superior quality built on a tradition of integrity, says

                              Sojourner Truth By Nell Irvin
Sojourner Truth is an ex slave and fiery abolitionist who dazzles listeners with her wit and
originality. She is straight talking and unsentimental, Truth became a national symbol for strong
black woman. Like Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass, she is regarded as a radical of
immense and enduring influence; however, she is more remembered more for her myths than her
personality. In the book, Sojourner TruthA Life, A Symbol, the author Nell Irvin Painter, goes
beyond the myths, words, and photographs to uncover the life of a complex woman who was born
into slaveryand died a legend. Inspired by religion, Truth transforms herself from a domestic
servant named Isabella into a nomadic preacher named Sojourner. Her words of empowerment have
inspired black women and poor people of the world over to this day.
Through the combination of understanding and her scholarly attributes, Nell Painter has managed
to advance the fabled ideas about Sojourner Truth by uncovering her complex slave life to her
death as a legend in the history of black women. In this book, Painter argues that Sojourner was
inspired by religion, this is an inspiration to the black women and the needy; her inspirational voice
for the unfortunate black in the South, women in the North though she spent a lot of her free life
with the middle class. Gradually Sojourner managed to lift her head beyond slavery, securing
respect for herself and utilizing the otherness of her skin color and race, becoming the only

The role of a hospital diabetes specialist in New Zealand is very important in helping to treat and
manage those with type 2 diabetes. Specifically, diabetes specialists often examine and diagnose
diabetics, recommend medical treatments and work with families or caregivers of those affected,
provide the necessary treatment to patients and follow them up with progress checks, keep patients
diabetes records and coordinate with their family doctor and will often be involved in the research of
the diabetes mellitusdisease (Physicians, 2017). Diabetes specialists work may involve caring for a
child with diabetes, which usually involves working closely with families and is therefore important
that the specialists understand the developmental stages... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Diabetes specialists are specialists for a reason they are familiar with the nature of the disease and
how to combat or manage diabetes with each individual case. Their responsibility within the hospital
environment is to effect cure and therefore their involvement in the patient s experience in hospital
is very intermittent, intervening with patients in small chunks, leaving most of the care to the nurses
(Gloubermann Mintzberg, 2001). Their perspective is less centred around caring for patients or
working collectively but more independent in their decision making, following the direction of the
physician profession and working for the interest of the patient. Although diabetes specialists do talk
to patients and offer advice on the management of diabetes, most of their time and energy goes into
administering cure, and the perspective they therefore hold regarding type 2 diabetes services is that
what is most important is improving the health of the individual diabetics they treat, and having the
freedom to make the decisions surrounding treatment and management they feel is in the best
interests of the patient (Gloubermann Mintzberg,
                              We Wear The Mask Betrayal
Deceit, Betrayal, and Resentment When going through life, individuals are put into difficult and
stressful situations. To get out of this predicament, the individual would resort to using deceptive
and deceitful behavior which would ultimately lead to betrayal. In the words of Paul Laurence
Dunbar in the poem We Wear the Mask, he believes We wear the mask that grins and lies, / ... This
debt we pay to human guile; (534: lines 1 3). This means that people hide his or her true emotions to
disguise what they are feeling. In the short story The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman,
the narrator throughout the story always hide what she was truly feeling from her husband John and
sister in law Jennie. Since during that time period woman... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Gilman s short story the first symbol that occurs is the yellow wallpaper. When the narrator
entered the nursery where she was going to reside for the rest of her stay, she states that the
windows are barred and the yellow on the walls were both flamboyant and lame (78). This is a
representation of herself. She feels confined to the sanctions of what society thinks a woman in
that time period should do, hence the barred windows. The yellow wall color represents her
personality. She is a person who has a very intricate and has a lot of original ideas but this side of
her is masked by the fact that she is a woman who cannot express herself to her full potential. This
symbol helps to move the story forward because it helps express her individuality and a person
she could be. On the other hand, in Poe s literary work Montresor is described in a unique way.
Poe wrote Thus speaking, Fortunato possessed himself on my arm. Putting on a mask of black
silk, and drawing a roquelaire closely about my person, I suffered him to hurry me to my palazzo
(15). This quotation is describing the attire Montresor is wearing, which the author took time to
explain showing its significance. Montresor is portrayed wearing a black mask with a cloak, which
one can assume is black as well. Montresor is

Brandon Teena s Life and Court Case
Brandon Teena was a twenty one year old transgender man: a person who was born female but
who identifies as a male, who was brutally raped and murdered in 1993. After a few friends found
out he was transgender they raped him, beat him relentlessly and then later shot him at a friends
home for filling a police report. His story brought national attention to transgender people and is the
inspiration for two films and a book. His life was not in vain and he still lives on in his story and
the hearts and minds of many.
Brandon Teena was born Teena Renae Brandon in Lincoln, Nebraska in the year 1972. Brandon s

The hate crime of Brandon brought national attention to the ideal and possibility that someone would
want to change their gender. For many people, this was their first time even hearing about trans
people and the violence against trans people. After his death, his identity was challenged and argued
even though there are quotes from him saying he felt like a man trapped inside a woman s body. As
Karina Eileraas puts it Transgender violence targets both men and women, but Brandon Teena s case
highlights its particularly brutal effects on FTM transgender individuals. Boys Don t Cry provides a
clear political incentive to integrate feminist, gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender concerns in the
analysis of violence against women...Serious risks accompany any attempt to invest the body with
particular truths about gender and sexuality . Brandon was not fully accepted in life or given the
support he needed but he is remembered in death and his story continues to inspire many people
whether trans or not.

Toronto is a place in cultural imagination that occupies a historical locale with its time and space of
the modern geography.
Cultural geography of place presents a novel vision of Toronto as a social and a symbolic
constitutive process of historical change, in which nature is a shaping force of our mind as people.
The present album comprises a series of paintings by Lyudmyla (Mila)
Shugurova, in which landscapes have characters, voices, stories that take the habitats into an
extraordinary voyage of time as space.

Lake Ontario is well outlined by the touching presence of the last glaciation, and is indeed a shining

During colonialism, Toronto was formed as the boundary place with a flourishing economy and a
transitory social corridor of trade, development and settlement. Transition marks a threshold that is
constantly making the cultural topology of its diverse environments as landscapes, the social scenes
amidst the natural time of change. In this album, the cultural landscapes are voyagers themselves,
reveries for tourism as the forgotten sense for belonging and its musing longing. As the changing

better their true belonging to cosmos outside the rigid limits and borders of the political and social
fragmentation.
In the present collection, we look at Toronto as the living locale through the ethics of history that

Websters Dictionary also defines Art as follows; The quality, production, expression, or realm,

It is fairly evident that to succeed in any society, one must be able to communicate clearly and
eloquently. It s like the musician that transmits that certain vibe when you hear him/her. This
musician has practiced and studied music so as to master it and perform to the best of his/her
ability. If we want to communicate to our best, we must also strive to perfect and master our
language skills. But we are not going to do it in a tongue that the public is not familiar with, you
will be driving the wrong way on a very fast one way highway, and find yourself in an accident of
a sort. In The Cosmopolitan Tongue: The Universality of English by John McWhorter, I find he
takes a more scientific approach on the use of language. After all he is a linguist and political
commentator. But I can t say I disagree with what he says. Inevitably, I guess in the future there

INTRODUCTION
Did you know that over 1,000 tigers have been hunted over the past ten years, just for their skins.
Some people think that hunting tigers is just a hobby, or that their skin just looks so pretty as a
sweater. Maybe trading their body parts for millions of dollars just feel good. I m against that. I think
that hunting tigers just isn t right and that hunting tigers should be illegal and stop everywhere
around the world. Why?, you might ask, because hunting tigers is inhumane, tigers are an
endangered species, and tigers are an important part of food webs and chains.
One reason it should be illegal everywhere to hunt and kill tigers is because tigers are important to
food chains and webs. For example, in the article Science Buzz it states, that in the forest ecosystem,

So the population of the tigers could control the population of the tigers pray or herbivores. I think
this means that if all the tigers became extinct, often no animal would be there to eat their prey so
it could make the population out of balance. Also Science Buzz states that when tigers eat
herbivores, they are making sure the grasslands are not being overgrazed. This makes me think that
if tigers didn t eat the herbivores, this might not only throw off the balance of the food web, too
much grass is being eaten by them. I think this could cause other herbivores that eat the same grass
to not have enough food, so that species might die off as well. In addition to this, Global Tiger
Initiative states that if there are too many herbivores, seed dispersal and tree regeneration might not
be
