Vodafone
INTRODUCTION Since the need of the hour is the communication which we make with each other,
I have taken a telecommunication company as my concerned organization with the topic What next
for Vodafone? A strategic study of leadership and people performance in a successful organization ,
for my report. Here, I will talk about the strategic planning introduced in the Vodafone. A discussion
about the company s mission, vision and goals of the company would be discussed in brief. After
that, a SWOT (strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) analysis would also be done to have
a better understanding of the environment in which the company is working. Then I will highlight
the different types of strategies adopted by the company in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

It acquires the leading position in India and has a huge presence in Japan. Its strategic alliance
with Apple iphone is also one of the strength of Vodafone. Weaknesses Weaknesses of the company
is analysed by the SWOT analysis which would further help the company to make strategies to
reduce its weaknesses by reconfiguring its operation process. The US business of Vodafone is not
as large and strong as Europe, which contains a larger percentage of operations of almost 80%.
Opportunities Strategies of Vodafone can focus on exploiting its strengths to capture the
opportunities that are present openly in the market. A great opportunity lies in the untapped market
of developing nations of Asia and Africa. Also, it can take up the step of reducing cost in India and
has the opportunity to come up with the research and development of the new technologies in the
mobile phones. Threats Any external factor which poses hindrances for the expansion,
diversification and development of the company could be termed as the threats for the company.
Since there is a highly competitive market for mobile phones in the market, it poses a big threat for
Vodafone. Also, the European Union regulations on the cross border cell phone are the threats which
the company is supposed to handle by formulating the strategies in to action. Besides all this, any
company is
A Speech On The Crime Against Kansas
Even on the highest level, the tension and angry spread between Senators from the North and the
South. The craziest example was the Bully Brooks incident of 1857. During a session of Congress
the senator from Massachusetts, Senator Charles Sumner delivered a very provoking speech. His
speech The Crime Against Kansas was an attack against the Missourian Border Ruffians and the two
senators Atchison, and Andrew Butler of South Carolina for the crimes that the South had
committed to gain another slave state. Unfortunately, the young, hotheaded senator Preston S.
Brooks, who happened to be Senator Butler s nephew, could not stand for these accusations. On May
22, 1856 he attacked Sumner with his eleven ounce cane until he it broke in... Show more content on

The Democrats nominated James Buchanan, a respected Pennsylvania lawyer who had spent much
time in London as of late serving as minister to Britain. As a result, had had no hand in the quarrel
and was spotless, in that respect at least. The rapidly expanding Republican party and nominated
Captain John C. Fremont. He was called the Pathfinder of the West, serving as a soldier/explorer.
Will not a great political figure, he still had no part the Kansas, which automatically made him a
plausible candidate (Kennedy and Cohen). The bleeding Kansas once again showed its face in the
highest position in the land. The situation turned very dire for the anti slavery men when the
Supreme Court made the Dred Scott v. Stanford decision. The Dred Scott v. Stanford case took
place when a black slave named Dred Scott sued his master for his freedom. Dred Scott argued
that he deserved freedom because he had served his master for five years on free territory. The
ruling by the Supreme Court said that since Dred Scott was a slave, his master s private property,
the Constitution did not allow the government to deprive someone of their property without due
process of law. Also, as a slave, the court could have dismissed the case then and there, but they
made a ruling and took it one step farther.
Gulliver s Travels by Jonathan Swift
Society vs. Individuality In the novel Gulliver s Travels by Jonathan Swift, the influence that
society has on Gulliver is very detectable in this book. Throughout the novel, Gulliver repeatedly,
finds himself in predicaments because societal norms and the role of government in our society.
Swift shows how the idea of who people are due to their position in society. Gulliver is an outsider
to the society of Lilliput, he tries to fit into their world but fails, not only because of his size but
because of their governmental treason. I believe, Swift wrote the story of Liliput to try and
illustrate to us the idea that society and government corrupts individuals. This is shown by the
relationships between Gulliver and self oriented individuals and society oriented individuals. Swift
demonstrates that the government has questionable motives, in the Acts of Conduct that Gulliver
has to learn it has in it the description of basically what the King can and cannot do. The first rule
they explain is ...the obedience to the king out of terror rather than out of respect . The King shows
the fear he instills in his subjects by the phrase, the Princes of the Earth shake their Knees (25). The
King also tries to rule the heavens and the Earth, whose Feet press down to the Center, and whose
Head strikes against the sun (25). Even though the king is within his rule, the reader will find the
King s methods harsh. Swift is implying that for men to have control over their government or
A Fan Of Classical Music Essay
As a fan of classical music, I decided to attend the Mutter Bronfman Harrell Trio. Which consists of
Anne Sophie Mutter on Violin, Yefim Bronfman on Piano, and Lynn Harrell on Cello. Their
powerful bond within the music, grasped my attention. I have heard many single instruments, but
never the violin, piano, and cello all in one. It was defiantly a new and exciting experience, which I
would like to be part of again.
The group name is The Mutter Bronfman Harrell Trio, which like I mention before consists of
Ms. Mutter, Mr. Bronfman, and Mr. Harrell. The venue was located in the city of Northridge,
18111 Nordhoff St, Northridge, CA 91330, on the campus of California State University
Northridge (CSUN) in the Valley Performing Arts Center. The performance was held on the 16th
of April, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. The performances was based on two trios. One in B flat major, Op. 97 (
Archduke ) by Ludwig Van Beethoven, and A minor, Op. 50 ( In Memory of a Great Artist ) by Piotr
Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
Lynn Harrell, is a well known Cello player who has toured in many places like Australia, New
Zealand, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and many more places around the United
States (U.S.). Anne Sophie Mutter, who is known for being one of the greatest violinists for over 35
years, has won four time Grammy Awards with Deutsche Grammophon, for their outstanding
collaboration. Yefim Bronfman, Piano, has also been nominated for a Grammy Award for his
Deutsche Grammophon recording in 2009.
Sir Isaac Newton s Life During The Scientific Revolution...
Sir Isaac Newton was born on January 4, 1643 in Woolsthorpe, England. He was the only son of a
prominent farmer, who was also named Isaac Newton, but died about three months prior to his son s
birth date. Newton was credited for his phenomenal scientific discoveries during the Scientific
Revolution of the 17th century. In his early years, his mother married a prominent minister and went
on to live with this minister, leaving Newton behind to live with his maternal grandmother. Later in
life, Newton was reunited with his mother. It was speculated that Newton suffered from depression
and anxiety issues as a result of his abandonment. Newton attended Cambridge University in the
1860 s but as a result of the plague, the university was closed

Religious Stereotypes In The Film, Black Robe
The film, Black Robe, depicts the first contacts between the Huron Indians of Quebec and the Jesuit
missionaries from France who came to convert them to Catholicism. Despite some of the
controversial portrayals in the film, much of what was produced represented both the Huron and
Jesuit perceptions of one another; the Black Robe displayed both the Jesuit frustrations with the
Natives unwillingness to learn about Christianity and the Huron social mocking of the black robes .
Portraying the religious, social, and economic interactions, the film, complemented by the journal of
Le Jeune, Bruce Trigger s book The Jesuits and the Fur Trade, and Neal Salisbury s writings in
Religious Encounters in a Colonial Context, gives a convincing portrait of both the Natives and
the Jesuits side of the encounter. Black Robe centers around the religious mission of French
Jesuits in the New World, particularly the Huron Mission in New France. This focus allows us to
see how accurately the religious characters were portrayed. For the French many of the religious
interactions involved Laforgue, a Jesuit missionary on his way to help the Huron Mission and
commonly known to the natives as Black Robe . Laforgue, though tries to respect the Natives ideas
as much as possible particularly near the end of the film, continuously tries to convert them. This
presents a level of unwillingness to accept Natives way of life, which is also seen in Le Jeune s
Journal when he describes the Natives Shamen as
