Instructions to candidates

1) Candidates shall occupy the seats alloted to them in the Examination Hall before the start of the Examination. Latecomers
will not be admitted to the examination

2) Candidates will not be permitted either to enter the examination hall after the start of the examination or to leave the hall
until the examination is over.

3) Candidates shall bring into Examination Hall Admission Ticket, Identification Certificate, Identity proof and
ball point pen with blue/black ink. The candidates are permitted to bring with them a transparent water bottle.
The candidate shall not bring with them watch/wristwatch, smartwatch, camera watch or any other electronic
communication gadgets such as mobile phone, digital diary, Pendrive, calculator, electronic pen, scanner, camera
pen,health band, bluetooth devices, earphones, microphone, pager, PDA, spy camera glasses, other programmable
devices and storage devices, or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode
capable of being used as a communication device in the examination hall. Any infringement of the instructions
will result in the immediate ejection of the candidate from the examination hall and subsequent invalidation of
the answer script/permanent disqualification of the candidate from applying to the posts notified by the Kerala
Devaswom Recruitment Board.

4) Candidates shall put their signature against their names in the address list provided in the Examination Hall.

5) Candidates shall produce a photo affixed identity proof in original. The following 15 documents will only be
accepted as identity proof. 1) Voters Identity Card issued by Election Commission 2) Driving License 3)Passport 4)Identity
Card issued by Social Justice Department to Differently abled persons 5) Photo affixed pass book issued by the Nationalized
Banks 6) ID Card issued to Government Employees by the Departments / Institutions concerned 7) Discharge Certificate
issued to the Ex-servicemen/Photo affixed ID card issued to the Ex-servicemen by the Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer 8)
Conductor License issued by Motor Vehicles Department 9) Photo affixed pass book issued by Scheduled Banks / Kerala Bank
10) Photo affixed Identity Card issued by Public Sector Undertakings (various companies/corporations/boards/authority)
/Govt. autonomous institutions to their employees 11) Photo affixed Identity Card issued by the University in Kerala state to
its employees 12) Photo affixed Medical Certificate issued by Medical Board to Differently Abled candidates 13) Photo affixed
Identity Card issued by Bar Council to those who are enrolled as Advocates 14) AADHAR Card issued by the Central
Government 15) Any other document already approved by the Kerala Devaswom Recruitment Board and intimated to the
candidates and the exam centres before the test. CANDIDATES WHO FAIL TO PRODUCE IDENTITY PROOF IN
ORIGINAL WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND THE EXAMINATION.

6) As the photograph of the candidate has been uploaded in the application, the scanned image of the photograph will be
available in the admission ticket. HENCE NO PHOTOGRAPH SHALL BE PASTED ON THE ADMISSION TICKET. Those
who produce admission ticket with photograph pasted on the scanned image will not be allowed to attend the
examination.

7) Candidates should not misbehave with the officials engaged in examination duty or commit any sort of malpractice or
resort to any unfair means during the course of the examination. The answer scripts of the candidate who violate the
above instructions will be invalidated and legal action will be taken against them.

8) Candidates are admitted provisionally to the examination as detailed scrutiny of the applications has not been
completed. If any discrepancy in the application is found later, such applications will be summarily rejected.

9) No change of examination centre will be allowed under any circumstances.

10) Candidates who are eligible for travel allowance, on the basis of any Government Order, should obtain
attendance certificate from the chief superintendent on the day of the examination itself.

11) In case of postponement of the examination for any reason whatsoever, the new date will be published in print and visual
media and on the official website of the Board (www.kdrb.kerala.gov.in). Individual communication will not be issued to
candidates in this regard. Candidates shall produce the same admission ticket for the examination on the new date.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES REGARDING OBJECTIVE TYPE TEST (OMR Valuation) FOR THE
POST OF LOWER DIVISION CLERK IN THE GURUVAYUR DEVASWOM

1) OMR answer sheets which can be evaluated using an Optical Mark Reader (OMR), with Alpha code character (A/B/C/D) printed
on Part A and Part B and the respective Alpha code bubble blackened on Part B will be issued for this examination.

2) Alpha code allotted to the candidate is noted along with the Register Number on their seats. Candidates shall ensure to receive
Question Paper Booklet and OMR Answer sheet with the same Alpha code allotted to them. Otherwise, their answer scripts will be
invalidated.

3) OMR sheet/question booklet will not be replaced for any reason except printing or manufacturing defect.

4) Avoid perforation, dampening or soiling of the answer sheet.

5) Read the instructions on the reverse side of the OMR sheet. Do not tamper with the barcode in the centre of the
OMR answer sheet, otherwise your answer sheet will be invalidated.

6) Part A of the answer sheet is for entry of register number, date of birth, name of post, and date of the test. Part B is for marking
answers.

7) In the column provided for register number and date of birth, write your register number and date of birth in the respective
boxes and fully darken the bubbles for register number.

8) Errors in marking the entries in Part A of the answer sheet will lead to invalidation of the answer script. OMR sheet
once issued will not be replaced.

9) In Part B for each question, darken only the bubble corresponding to the right answer using a ballpoint pen with blue/black ink
only.

10) Each correct answer will fetch 1 mark. However, 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer (negative mark).

11) Marking more than one answer or making alterations in the marked answer will result in negative mark.

12) Use the blank sheet provided at the end of the question booklet for calculations, if required.

13) Part A and Part B of the OMR Answer sheet should not be separated before the examination is over.

14) The candidate must attend at least one question, otherwise the script will be invalidated.

15) After the time allotted for the test is over, candidate must separate Part A and Part B of the answer sheet along the
dotted line (through the middle of the Bar code) and hand over both parts to the Assistant Superintendent. Violation
will result in the invalidation of the answer script.

16) Wrong entry of register number in the columns provided and incorrect or partial bubbling of the register number in
Part A of the answer sheet will lead to invalidation.

17) Candidates should not exchange pen, pencil, eraser etc in the examination hall

18) All candidates should reach the examination centre by 01:30 PM for completing the formalities regarding
examination.
