SECTION IV- FIRST AID MEASURES
Skin contact: Flush skin with soap & water while removing contaminated cloths. Seek medical help if
required. Wash contaminated cloths before reuse.
Eye contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Consult Physician if
irritation persists.
Inhalation: Move the subject to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If respiration is
difficult, give Oxygen and seek help from Physician.
Ingestion: Immediately give two glasses of water to drink. Do not induce vomiting. Never give
anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Call a Physician.
Note to physician: There is no specific antidote. Treatment should be given symptomatically on the clinical
conditions.
SECTION V - FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
Fire hazard: Highly flammable liquid & vapors. Avoid all ignition sources.
Fire extinguishing Use water fog (or if unavailable fine water spray), dry chemical, carbon dioxide or alcohol
Media: stable foam. Heating can cause expansion or decomposition leading to violent rupture of
containers. If safe to do so, remove containers from path of fire. Spills and leaks may be
washed away with copious volumes of water, fog or spray.
Special fire fighting As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus pressure- demand, MSHA/NIOSH
procedure: (approved or equivalent) and full protective gear.
Unusual fire and Under conditions giving incomplete combustion, hazardous gases produced may consist
explosion hazards: of oxides of carbon. Combustion gases of organic materials must in principle is graded
as inhalation poisons. Vapours may form explosive mixtures with air Vapors are heavier
than air and can travel considerable distance to a source of ignition and flashback.

SECTION VI - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Personal precautions: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid breathing vapors or mists. Keep people
away from and upwind of spill/leak. Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in
confined areas. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. See sections VII &
VIII for personal protective equipment & handling.
Environmental precautions: Prevent further leakage or spillage. Do not discharge product into the aquatic
environment.
Cleaning methods: Wipe off floor with inert material and cloth duster. Contaminated diking material
may be incinerated according to current local or central regulation. Keep in
suitable, closed containers for disposal. Dispose of in accordance with local
regulations. Take necessary action to avoid static electricity discharge (which
might cause ignition of organic vapors).
SECTION VII- HANDLING AND STORAGE
Precautions for Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Avoid all personal contact. Wear protective
safe handling: clothing (See section VIII). Use in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with incompatible
materials. When handling, Do not eat, drink or smoke. Wash hands before breaks and
immediately after handling the product. Provide sufficient air exchange and/or exhaust in
work rooms. Do not use compressed air for filling, discharging or handling. Keep
containers securely sealed when not in use.
Storage: Store in tightly closed containers in cool, dry, and well ventilated areas, isolated from
heat, sources of ignition and incompatibles. Store away from oxidizing agents. Keep
containers closed at all times – check regularly for leaks. Store with all precautions
required for handling flammable liquids.
SECTION VIII- EXPOSURE CONTROL/ PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Ventilation: Local exhaust ventilation and/or mechanical (general) exhaust are recommended where vapors
are likely to be generated. All such equipment must be intrinsically safe.
Personal protective equipment
Eye protection: Avoid eye contact by wearing chemical goggles with side shields or face shield whenever
exposed to vapor or mist or if there is a risk of splashing liquid in the eyes. Safety
showers with eye-wash should be provided in all areas where product is handled.
Hand/Skin protection: Avoid skin contact by the use of approved chemical resistant gloves Impervious (rubber,
neoprene, PVC, etc.) hand gloves, aprons. Wear appropriate protective gloves and
clothing to prevent skin exposure.
Respiration protection: In high vapor concentrations or in suspected oxygen deficient atmospheres, such as
empty vessels or confined spaces, use air supplied hood Use suitable respiratory
protective device in case of insufficient ventilation. Maintain good ventilation in the area.
Suggested MSHA/NIOSH approved respirator where vapors concentrations is more.
Hygiene measures: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
Protective measures: Eye wash facility and emergency shower.
Smoking and other dusts: Smoking must be prohibited in all areas where product is being used.
