Learning Management System by Infinit Solutions
Accepting the academic challenges and needs that this extraordinary times has brought
us, Infinit Solutions developed an online learning management system (LMS) platform
specifically designed to cater the needs of the Filipino learners.
SANAOL boasts a simple and easy to use user interface design to allow learners and
educators alike to collaborate online, deliver supplemental teaching materials and
resources, learn, and provide interactions between different users.
The system was developed to run on any hardware platform and operating system:
mobile phones, tablets, desktops, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Linux,
Macintosh OS, iOS, and Android OS.

Our LMS platform is deployed in the cloud to ensure uninterrupted, reliable, secure
operations providing our clients with a peace of mind.
We utilize cloud technology to deliver our services and utilize industry third-party
service and applications provider such as Google, Youtube, and Facebook to ensure
that the quality of streaming service, data storage, and content delivery are not
compromised.
Continuous Improvements and Updates
We constantly bring updates to our LMS as there are still lots of useful features that
we envision to deliver to our clients.
How to Use the System
Access the Site and Login
Every school account shall be given a separate web address to access the LMS
application site.
Once you are at the login page, enter your username and password to login.
Note: If you forgot your login credentials, contact your school LMS Administrator to
reset your account.

Administrators
School Administrators are tasked to manage individual user accounts, manage the
school calendar of activities, upload materials that can be downloaded by the entire
community such as manuals, forms, etc. and post school announcements.
A. Users Management
To manage users, click the Manage Users menu located on the bottom portion of the
navigation panel. In here, there are two sub-menus to select from: Manage Faculty
and Administrators, and Manage Students.
Click on the desired selection and you will see a list of all active and inactive users.
I. Add Users
To add a user, press the button located on the top of the screen.

Enter personal details such as name, username, email address, mobile number, and
user type (faculty, admin, or student). Then press .
Note: remember the username, this username will also become the default
password (users may change this later) of the newly created user.
II. Edit Users
To edit users, on the main menu, press the button beside the selected user
account. Enter the necessary information then click .
III. Deactivate/Reactivate Users
Users can be temporarily deactivated and reactivated depending on school policy.
Once a user has been deactivated, he/she can no longer access the LMS
application. To deactivate a user press the button. To reactivate, press the
button.
IV. Reset User Password
To reset the user’s password, press the button. The user’s password will be
the same as the user’s username.

B. School Calendar Management
The official school calendar is used to display all the school’s important events.
To add an event go to the Manage Events menu.
To add a new event, select the New Event, otherwise click the Event List to display
the list of events that were previously encoded.
I. Add Events
To add an event, click the New Event link under the Manage Events or press the
button located on top of the Event List screen.
Enter the required details such as title, details, legend (color to appear in the
calendar), start date and end date then press the button.
Note: check the if the duration of the event spans a whole day.

II. Edit Events
To edit an event, press the button. Type the required details then click the
button.
III. Delete Events
To delete an event, press the button beside the selected event.
C. Downloadable Materials
Administrators can upload materials that are intended to be downloaded by the
entire community such as manuals, forms, etc. and post school announcements.
I. Upload File
Go to the Downloads menu by located on the navigation bar.
To upload a file, click the button.
Enter the required details, select the file to be uploaded (allowed files: zip, rar, jpg,
png, gif, txt, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx, pdf – should not exceed 5MB) then press
.

II. Delete File
To delete a file, press the button.
D. School Announcements
School announcements are visible to all the users of the LMS. This is used to post
important reminders, news and announcements.
I. Add Announcements
Go to the Announcements menu by located on the navigation bar.
To add an announcement, click the button.
Enter the required details, select an optional image to be displayed (allowed files:
jpg and png – should not exceed 1MB) then press .

II. Edit Announcements
To edit an announcement, press the button. Type the required details then click
the button.
III. Delete Announcements
To delete an announcement, press the button.

Educators
A. Setup Courses
One of the most important aspect of the LMS is course management. All instructors
are required to create and manage their own courses within the LMS.
I. Add Courses
To add a course, go to the Home menu located on the navigation bar.
On the main page, click the .

Enter the required details such as course code, course title, course description, school
year, level, time start, time end, and check the appropriate days when the course is
taught then and press the button.
II. Edit Courses
To edit an existing course, on the main page, press the button.
On the following page, all your existing courses will be displayed. Select the course
that you want to edit then press the button.
To add/enroll students, press the button. A list of all the currently enrolled
students will be displayed. Select the , search the name of the
student that you want to add then press the button to enroll the selected
student. If you want to remove an enrolled student, press the button.

III.Delete Courses
To remove a course, press the beside the course details.
B. Setup Course Modules
The next step is setup our course modules. It is best to split an entire course into a
smaller manageable modules that usually corresponds to one major topic as
indicated in the course syllabus.
On the main page, click the to open the course. On the succeeding
page, press the Create New Module.

Enter the required module details such as title and description then press the
button.
Each created module will be displayed as a link of the course module navigation pane.
The number being displayed on the right portion corresponds to the number of
activities created per module.
C. Setup Course Activities and Tasks
Now that we have created our course modules, it is time to add some activities in
each module. To open a course module, click the name of the module that you want
to open.

In Infinit LMS, there are many different activates that an instructor can choose from.
The most basic type of activities that can be chosen from are as follows:
Activity Type Description
Text A text only activity is used mostly to display details that does
not require any visual element. These are mostly used to:
display Instructions, reminders, quotes, and important short
notes.
Assignment This activity is appropriate for activities that are to be
submitted by the students at a later time. Students are
required to attach a file to submit. These files can later be
retrieved by the instructor and downloaded for checking.
Facebook Post One unique feature of our LMS is the ability to link Facebook
posts (public posts) directly from the LMS without having to
leave the platform.
File Instructors can attach files for the students to download.
These are usually supplemental materials such as reviewers,
lecture notes, and many more.
Link To enhance learning, instructors can also add external links
from other web sites for the students to explore and learn.
MCQ Quiz/Test Instructors are required to manage test banks (see creating
multiple choice questions) and add those tests here to
administer to the students. Once the student has already
taken the test, the LMS will automatically produce the test
results and displayed to the instructor.
Tests can be optionally set to expire once the test has been
opened by the students.
Quick Poll Quick Polls are useful when there is a need for the students to
vote on a decision or just to instantly know the opinion of the
entire class. Once a poll has been answered, the result will be
then displayed to the entire class.
Youtube Video Upload your instructional videos on the Youtube and add
them as a playable video streaming service within the LMS.
This ensures smooth playing of videos by utilizing Youtube’s
video streaming technology which will benefit thos with lower
internet speeds.

D. Creating Multiple Choice Question Assessments
To create Multiple Choice Questions, go to the Assessments->MCQ Tests menu of
the navigation pane then select Create Tests.
Enter the required details such as name, description, then check the Share with
Public option if you want to share this test with other instructors for them to use in
their own managed courses. Afterwards press .
To add test questions, press the then .
You can set the number of choices per question (minimum of 2 and maximum of 5)
and the score per test item. You can add as many question items as you want and
select only which to use on a test by managing the test questions.
Press the to exclude an item from the test or press to
include it. To remove a test question permanently, press the button.

Students
A. Responding to Course Activities and Tasks
The active participation of students in an LMS is important. LMS are designed as a
self-improvement application where students can access various learning materials.
To further facilitate learning experience, Infinit LMS features a content rich yet simple
interface.
Upon logging-in, students will be redirected to the home page of the LMS.
The left part of the screen (gray area) is called the navigation pane. This is where
students can access the various features of the LMS.
Panels displayed in the middle corresponds to the different courses that the students
are enrolled. To open a course, click the button.

Students will then be redirected to the course module where they can access the
different activities given by their instructors.
To select a topic (also called module), click the topic link on the left portion of the
screen. Each module will have a different set of activities.
Once a module is selected, students can now access the course activities timeline.

Pay attention to each activity as different activities has different sets of outcomes to
be achieved.
Tasks such as Youtube Videos, shared Facebook Posts, external links, and Texts are
purely for multimedia learning with or without the need of leaving the application.
While others such file downloads, and assignments needs user interaction to
download learning materials, and upload requirements.
Quick Polls, and Online Tests are also few of the assessment tasks that a student must
perform. Depending on the requirements set forth by each course instructor, some
tests are needed to be completed within a given period of time.
Whenever you see this type of activity, it means that you can directly play the video
within the application.
Another type of activity is a downloadable file which looks the same as the following

Assignments are activities that allows students to attach a file for submission.
Sometime, important Facebook contents are also posted by the instructor within
the LMS.

An external link guides students to instructional and learning materials that are
available to other websites.
Quick Poll or surveys are also often employed to gather information from the
students.
Online tests assesses how well the students’ understands the lessons.

Universal Applications
A. Sending Personal Messages
With the LMS’ built-in messaging system, students can send personal messages
between peers and teacher. Whenever you see a button, this means that you
can send a message to the person where the button was attached.
The easiest way to send message between peers is to open the
link located on the course modules.
Users may also use the Messages feature located in the navigation panel.
This will redirect users to their mail application where they can see incoming and
outgoing messages, and create new messages.

B. Class Forum
Class Forum are limited only to each individual course but the messages posted here
can be seen by all the members of that course. This encourages interactions between
students and instructors to freely discuss ideas.
Class forum can be accessed by clicking the link located on the course
modules.
C. Accessing the Calendar
The calendar function is important to keep track of important school events. To
open the calendar, click the Calendar link located on the navigation pane.
Users will be redirected to the calendar planner section of the LMS where all the
school events are posted.

To view the specific details of an event, click the event anme.
The calendar planner also different viewing options, to cycle through the different
views, press the buttons respectively.

D. Accessing the University News and Announcements
University events and announcements can be viewed by pressing the
Announcements link on the navigation pane.
Users will be redirected to the news and events section of the LMS.
Scroll through the window to view all the news and announcements by the school.
E. Update Personal Details and Change Password
To update your contact information or change password, you may select your profile
by pressing your name on the top-right corner of the screen
