Thread a needle with your chosen yarn and insert it through the bottom opening of the head. After embroidering the features as shown in the pattern (see figures below), bring the yarn back out through the bottom opening. To secure, tie the yarn tails together and tuck them inside the head to hide them. Use half-cotton yarn for the black details of the eyes and nose. Begin R11 by closing the front opening of the body: align the edges and work 8 sc across them. Place a stitch marker in the last single crochet before these eight.
