Now embroider the kitten’s snout.
Thread a needle with your chosen yarn and insert it through
the bottom opening of the head. After embroidering the
features as shown in the pattern (see figures below), bring
the yarn back out through the bottom opening. To secure, tie
the yarn tails together and tuck them inside the head to hide
them.
Use half-cotton yarn for the black details of the eyes and
nose. For all other features, use yarn of the same weight as
that used for the head.

Note: the stitch count and types (increases and decreases)
used in this version are exactly the same as in the plain
version. The stitches worked in white are indicated in bold.
To change color, complete the last step of the previous stitch
with the new color and continue working with it for the
stitches marked in the pattern.

the tail.
RESUME WORKING THE BODY from where you left off after
R10.
Begin R11 by closing the front opening of the body: align the
edges and work 8 sc across them. Place a stitch marker in the
last single crochet before these eight. If needed, work a few
extra single crochets at the end of round 10 to create the first
stitch that will close the opening on the cat's back.
