Pattern Notes
 1. Pot and soil are worked in continuous rounds.
 2. The pot and soil are the same for all 3 variations of plants.
 3. Mark 1st stitch of each round, moving marker up each round.
 4. Finished size may vary based on yarn, hook size, and tension.
 5. Using a "yarn under" method when working in rounds create a tighter stitch.
 6. For the string of pearls and succulent portions of the pattern, the tighter you sl st,
the curlier the strings and leaves will be.
 7. The fern portion of the pattern is made in steps worked along a growing
foundation chain and along both sides.

Start by laying out the leaves on a flat surface (photo 11). Using your yarn needle,
sew the leaves in a spiral with your yarn tail starting at one end. You will be starting
the spiral from the “middle” of your succulent, finishing on the outer edge. Weave
your yarn needle through the foundation ch as you continue to coil the succulent
leaves (photo 12 + 13). Once you reach the end of the foundation ch, use the
remaining yarn tail to sew the succulent to the top of the soil (photo 14). Make sure
the succulent is centered on the soil (photo 15). Hide the remaining yarn tail in the
soil. Place the soil with sewn succulent, fitting it into the pot. It is not necessary to
attach the soil to the pot (photo 16).

About the Designer
Hi, I am Samantha Meador, a self-
taught crocheter and the woman
behind Squibble's Crochet Corner. I
currently live with my husband,
Ben, 2 cats, and chinchilla in Ohio.
I started crocheting amigurumi in
2021 as a way to relieve stress. It
quickly became my favorite hobby
and consumed most of my free
time. I opened my crochet business
in 2022 and began selling finished
plushies. I now have a new found
passion in creating my very own
crochet patterns!
Behind the Design
Some of my favorite things to crochet are plants. I am a notorious plant killer so I
find that crochet plants are a much better alternative. They require absolutely no
care!
One of my favorite activities is traveling. My husband, Ben, and I love to go on road
trips. I loved the idea of adding a little greenery to my car while traveling across the
country and visiting various national parks.
