The City State Of Zamon Dor
Set into the towering side of Mt.Momentum, the city state of Zamon Dor dwarfed the surrounding
duchies and townships. Zamon Dor was the land of inventions and innovations; there was nothing
its tinkerers could not think up, nothing its architects could not build. Clockwork and its
mechanisms made the city what it was; they offered all sorts of comforts that other nations could
only dream of. The city itself was alive with the hustle and bustle of daily life: men could be heard
talking, women laughing, and children playing, all set to the sound of a soft mechanical whirring
as Zamon Dors inventions were alive in all aspects of life. People wore artisanal watches, others
rode on clockwork bicycles, and the city gleamed and sparkled during... Show more content on

The garden was small, but this is where the timewalker spent most of her life.
The lush green of the palace gardens offered a much needed juxtaposition against the sea of
machines outside of the garden walls. There were no birds or insects to be seen, as neither
existed in Zamon Dor, and so there was only the sound of the wind as it rustled the leaves of the
great tree in the middle of the garden. This was where Kali, the palace timewalker, came every day
from mid morning to just before dusk. Kali was the definition of serenity, her appearance was that
of an older child, aged anywhere between thirteen to sixteen. Her skin was fair, with jet black hair
and steely eyes that could pierce through even the toughest of men.
Sir Kairos, a member of the consulship and Kali s overseer, was a short, stout man who was half
bald. Despite his aged appearance, he had a silver tongue, with honeyed words dripping with power.
He was one of the few who was given his position, rather than being born into it.
Kali, oh Kali dearest, Kairos said in a singsong voice, poking his head through the garden gate and
cutting the silence, I need to see you, very important business. Orders from the Chief Magistrate
himself! And you know how he gets when he s kept waiting. With that, Kairos departed, surely to
attend to the very important matter of deciding what outfit would best please the Chief Magistrate.
Kali silently stood and began down the corridor
What Are The Similarities Between Kanye West And Hype...
Kanye West and Hype Williams have been accused by the film director Gaspar Noé for ripping
off his fantasy movie Enter the Void for the All of the Lights music video. The similarities
between the two videos were criticized by fans and critics in 2011, but Noé remained silent about
it until now. In an interview, the film director finally addressed the controversy and has spoken
about it. He revealed he was never consulted by the rapper during the making of the music video.
Instead he was surprised when he saw Kanye s video and couldn t help but notice the similarities
of it. He said he was totally in shock after he noticed William s name was added to the content,
using his typography. The director (Hype Williams) was someone else who
Different Morals, Attitudes, and Goals with Changing...
As generations come and go, I ve noticed that each generation has grown up with different
morals, attitudes, and goals for their life. Which puts a gap on all these generations, each
generation is very distinct in their own ways. With each new generation being shaped and
molded by the previous one, by offering more and more to help them. Now when you look at my
generation now and the new one slowly coming up as well, you can see that we have been turned
into a selfish, lazy, and even rude generation. If you look back on our older generations, they were
never handed anything. Everything they wanted they had to work hard for an even struggle
doing it. In this day and age it seems all anyone looks for is hand outs, no one wants to work hard
for anything and achieve it. Everyone looks for the shortcuts through life, when there are none.
Another reason why things are so much easier for this generation is the new technology we have
available. With all the new technology and so much help from our previous generations, it has
gave this generation a different attitude and not so much in a good way. This generation s attitude
has been infected with laziness, selfishness, and greed. It seems that most people in my generation
today is very and only self focused. They are all worried about how much money they can make
and care about only what they want, and how quick they can obtain it. I feel as though previous
generations have made our life so much easier, we take it for

Ishmael Outcasts
In biblical times, there lived a man named Abraham and his beloved wife Sarah, who prayed to
God every day for the gift of a child. Sarah, however, remained barren and suggested Abraham
sleep with his servant Haggar as a surrogate. Haggar did bare a child named Ishmael, but Sarah
grew to despise Haggar and her child for gifting Abraham with what she could not. As time past,
Sarahgave birth to Isaac, the miracle child, and God decided Isaac would receive his covenant and
subsequently Ishmaeland Haggar were banished as outcasts. In the first line of Moby Dick by
Herman Melville, Ishmael utters the words Call me Ishmael (pg. 18) immediately categorizing
himself as an outcast. He does not fit in with people on land nor at sea, and his intellectualism sets
him apart from average whalers. While Ishmael remains in limbo between the two worlds, he finds
a home in a person rather than a place: Queequeg. Despite his status as a drifter, Ishmael feels a

we were married. (pg. 57) These intimate actions also express the depth of Ishmael s relationship
with Queequeg, as they compare themselves to a married couple. This idea of a marriage arises
again in Chapter 72 The Monkey rope when Ishmael holds Queequeg s harness so that he can
safety stay on the surface of the dead whale. It was a humorously perilous business for both of
us...so that for better or for worse, we two, for the time, were wedded. (pg.255) He may remain an

Attractiveness of the project was seen in:
1. Possibility of making almost 10 million in 10 years time with how they perceived low risk and
high return opportunity.
2. Relatively little amount of capital required for a bigger return, including the ability of having no
liabilities after 4 years.
3. Major plus was seen in acquiring rights to entire state of Florida, which they thought had a lot of
potential for gelati/café concept presently and in the future. Florida market with warm climate,
relatively wealthy population and friendly lifestyle showed the potential for the business growth and
profitability.
4. As they noted it was a perfect time and age to take a risk, as opposed to waiting for the graduation,
when they might not have the same opportunity.
5. Additionally, market did not seem oversupplied so coffee, ice cream and pastries could have a
demand among broad groups of customers.
All of the pros given above lead the three to go ahead and make a deal with Icedelights parent
company which turned out to be restrictive and dangerous for the franchisees. According to the deal,
the owners (Mark, Paul and Eric) will not have a control over the real estate and the product, so it
would not be truly their own business. Though the parent company seemed
Diction In A Tale Of Two Cities
The Use of Diction and Characterization in A Tale of Two Cities
In Charles Dickens A Tale of Two Cities, it is explicitly mentioned several times that Charles
Darnay and Sydney Carton look particularly similar. The similarities in the appearances of Carton
and Darnay later play a substantial role in the conclusion of the novel. Despite their physical
similarities, the two are completely different individuals and are nothing alike. Chapter 4 of the
novel juxtaposes the two characters together and displays the differences in their personalities. In A
Tale of Two Cities, Charles Dickens exhibits the diversity of Carton and Darnay s personalities, by
embedding imagery and characterization into the context.

Darnay is a softhearted, admirable man, who despite his ties to the French aristocracy, rejects
their ungracious principles. Darnay also can be regarded as a modest man. After he is acquitted
by Carton, he elucidates that I hardly seem yet, returned Charles Darnay, to belong to this world
again. (Dickens 83). The quote displays how Darnay is unsure that after being convicted he can
return to live a happy life. He feels that he cannot rightfully exist without continually being
reminded of his past actions. The quote uses diction to display Darnay s feelings, and portrays him
as a prudent man. In the chapter, Darnay clearly wishes to avoid conflict with Sydney Carton,
characterizing him as a kindhearted, benevolent man. He says, Nevertheless, pursued Darnay,
rising to ring the bell, there is nothing in that, I hope, to prevent my calling the reckoning, and our
parting without ill blood on either side. (Dickens 85). Essentially, Darnay elucidates that whether
or not Carton tolerates him, he should still express his gratitude for his assistance in the trial.
Charles Darnay declares that the two should not be on poor terms, although they mutually dislike
each other. Darnay does not want to depart from dinner with the agony of ill blood with Carton,
and hopes his declaration will sway Carton to reconcile. His statement displays how compassionate
and amiable Charles Darnay is, and how he truly serves as a role model for Sydney
Murdered Mayor Case Study
We are here to present our evidence for The Case of the Murdered Mayor. We think that Matthew
Maloy killed Mr. Robert Burlington. We looked at 5 things including blood type, hair analysis,
fingerprints, tire impressions, and entomological evidence. We got 4 pieces of blood covered
evidence. The victim s blood, the victim s car, the cabin Robert was killed in, and the tire iron
that killed Robert. All four of the pieces had B+ blood on them. The only suspects with B+ blood
are Timothy Taylor and Matthew Maloy. Chris Cunningham had A , Pam Preston had AB ,

Life Is Beautiful Movie
Movies play a huge role in our history. Fact based or fictional, realistic or fantastic, history movies
shape the way people think about the past (Metzger). Some examples of great historical films are
Hidden Figures, Forrest Gump, Gandhi, and Dances with Wolves. Although these films provided
a glimpse of the past, no other movie was as artistic as the film Life is Beautiful . The movie was a
fairytale trapped in a historical period filled with misery and survival, which was why I chose it.
Life is Beautiful is a wonderful masterpiece that provides a glimpse of the Holocaustand the
indomitability of humanity even in the midst of inhumanity.
The film was set in the late 1930s of Arezzo, Italy. The main character, Guido (Roberto Benigni), is
an enthusiastic Jewish Italian man who moved to the city to open a bookstore and help his uncle,
Eliseo (Giustino Durano), in his Grand Hotel. While Guido is in the city he encounters a non Jewish
Italian woman named Dora (Nicoletta Braschi), who he falls in love with and uses his charm to win
her over. The first half of the movie hosted a series of events that demonstrated what an
extraordinary character Guido was that not only did Dora fall in love with but the audience did
as well. At Dora s engagement ceremony, Guido whisked her away on a green horse ensuring
that they will live together happily. Eventually, they have a son named Giosue (Giorgio
Cantarini) together. However, their blissful life is interrupted by World War II and the
declaration of racial laws. The second half of the movie hosted a series of sacrificial events by
Guido and Dora. On Giosue fifth birthday, he was taken away with his father and uncle to a
concentration camp. Dora, refusing to be left behind, sacrifice herself by insisting to go to the
camp as well. While in the concentration camp Guido made sacrifices to protect his son from the
vile truth, by turning their situation into a game, and he also made sacrifices to ensure his wife that
he and Giosue were okay. In order to keep his son interested in the game, Guido told Giosue that the
grand prize was a tank. Ironically, at the end of the film, an American tank coincidently came to save
Giosue. The film writer/directed, Roberto Benigni,

Essay On Hand Swaging Bullets
In this week s reflection assignment the required viewing material was a video that addressed the
topic of hand swaging bullets.
The video gave an overview of the projectiles themselves and also showed the method in which they
are to be loaded.
The video began by stating that the projectiles were sent to him to be tested and he did not swage
the swaged projectiles that are being shown in the video. The projectiles were unique in the fact
that the person that swaged them used a die that would allow the used brass from a .40 S W to be
formed into a jacket for a .451 caliber projectile that are to used to load .45 ACP. The video states
that it will give the user a greater amount of versatility when using the projectile as opposed to using
a cast bullet. There were two different types of projectiles to be tested in the video. The first being
a standard lead core projectile and the second projectile has a .30 caliber gas check in the nose of
the cartridge. These swaged bullets were very comparable to factory ammunition in terms of diameter
and weight. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

not the loading of these projectiles will differ from loading normal commercial projectiles. In the
video the barrel of the pistol being used to test fire the loaded round was removed to be used as a
length gauge in the reloading process. To use the barrel to check the length the loaded bullet will
need to be placed in the chamber to ensure that it will seat fully and also that is will fall free of the
chamber. The reloading press being used in the video was a Lee classic reloading press. Even while
loading these swaged projectiles the reloader chose to keep the amount of powder the same as if he

Therefore, since independence, the main objective of Pakistan s foreign policy has been to protect
its territorial integrity against a possible attack from India to ensure national security from external
threats. An important aspect of Pakistan s foreign policy is that its relations with India mainly
determine its attitude towards the other nations. It has conjured up threat from India, and by
constantly harping on its fear of India; Pakistan has tried to win the sympathy of the superpowers.
However, the basic force behind Pakistan foreign policy is its security and survival, both economic
and military.
However, the very nature of the state system breeds feelings of insecurity, distrust, suspicion, and
fear. This atmosphere produces a constant competition for power in which each state, to reduce its
insecurity, seeks to enhance its power relative to that of a possible foe. If a state perceives its
neighbour as a potential enemy, it tries to deter an attack or political coercion by becoming a little
stronger than its neighbour, or at least as strong. The neighbour, in turn, also fears attack or political
intimidation. It understands that its best interests lie in increasing its strength to forestall either
contingency or, if necessary, in winning a war, should matters go that far.
There was very strong perception among the Congress leaders that Pakistan is not economically
viable state and it could not survive. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad revealed that among others Sardar
Use Of Bird Imagery In Macbeth
Nancy Lang
Mrs Dean
English
26 January 2017
Bird Imagery There are many different types of birds used in Macbeth . They include
Kites, chickens, and falcons. The birds can represent a lot of different things such as royalty,
children, strength and many other things. Birds play a huge roll in the play and were used in many
ways. The first time that birds were used in Macbeth is when King Duncan and
Banquo approach Macbeth s castle. King Duncan remarks at how sweet the air is and then
Banqou refers to Macbeth as a temple haunting martlet which is a bird that likes to make its nest
upon tall buildings, just like how Macbeth s castle is built high upon the hill. One of the first time
birds were used was in the very second scene in the play when it says As sparrows eagle or the
hare the lion . This means that the bigger animal will always overtake the smaller animal. In this
situation Macbeth is the eagle overtaking the sparrow, King Duncan. And not too much later birds
are used in the fifth scene of the same act where it describes Macbeth as a raven. Ravens are
considered to be a bad omen and in this case it represents Macbeth murdering King Duncan. One of
the most important times birds ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Why The Act Of Preserving Restoring Historic Structures Is...
This paper will attempt to argue why the act of preserving and restoring historic structures is a much
better option than demolishing them. The essay will use the powerful tool of reliable and relevant
sources to support the essay s claim about historic restoration. In addition, this argument will present
the opposition s claims and why they may or may not be correct in the process of improving a
historic structure. The essay will separate the ideological differences between demolishing structures
and restoring them. Initially, this paper will introduce the main underlying problem with the
opposing argument. Then, the paper will establish two main points as to why the restoring of these
historic structures is a much better option.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Building demolition is never the answer, and restoration will always be the better option. This will
ensure we can save and remember how societies of those who lived before us built their buildings.
Although there are many ways building restoration will always be the better option, one crucial way
is that restoration preserves the cultural identity of a structure, while demolition destroys it. At this
moment, there might be a question raised: What exactly is the cultural identity of a structure or
building? Well, that is actually quite simple. When we speak of historic structures, we typically are
referring to those that are very, very aged structures that have a magnitude of uniqueness to them.
Therefore, reflecting the culture of the time period which they were created in. But, if that historic
structure is demolished, how would that reflected culture ever be remembered? That s just it, it
wouldn t be able to be remembered, and that s where the underlying problem is. Like what I ve just
mentioned, Washington Trust For Historic Preservation stated in their Benefits for Historic
Preservation article, By preserving historic structures, we are able to share the very spaces and
environments in which the generations before us lived. Historic preservation is the visual and
tangible conservation of cultural identity (para. 3). Essentially, demolition results in destruction of
this cultural identity and as I personally
