In pursuance of the orders contained in Directorate letter No 16-01/2024-D
dated
17.02.2025 and 23.05.2025 and in pursuance of orders contained in
Postmaster
General, Vijayawada Region, Vijayawada Memo No Mails/IDCs/Misc dated 27.06.2025,
the Competent Authority has approved for setting up of Brownfield IDC i.e
Independent
Deliver Center, Vijayawada 520001 which will be operationalized with effect from
30.06.2025 from the existing Vijayawada GPO building.

1) The Delivery Center will comprise of the delivery jurisdiction of the following
delivery Post Offices.
a. Vijayawada GPO
b. Gandhi Nagar SO
c. Satyanarayanapuaram SO

2) The Delivery Center will operationalize with the following staff initially on
attachment basis and the same will be reviewed periodically based on the
operational
requirement.

3) The PIN Code of the Delivery Center will be 520 001.

4) The Delivery Center will be Independent Delivery Center with


delivery of
documents only.

5) The existing facility ID of Vijayawada GPO ie PE130200000 will be used as


facility lD of the Delivery Center in pursuance of orders contained in Directorate letter
No 16-01/2024-D dated 16.06.2025 till a newfacility IDis created for the
purpose.
6) Till a newfacility ID is created, the existing Treasurer, Vijayawada GPO will also
act as Treasurer for the Delivery Center and the delivery staff of Delivery
Center will
collect required cash for the delivery of the Money Order/ eMO from the Treasurer,
Vijayawada GPO. Besides, delivery staff after delivery of CODICustom duty articles/
undelivered eM0 will submit cash collected from the addresses to the Treasurer,
Vijayawada GPO. Amount collected digitally by the delivery staff from the addresses
towards CODI Custom duty articles will be settled
automatically and account or by the
Treasurer, Vijayawada GPO.

7) After creation of newfacility ID for the Delivery Center, the

Guidelines issued vide Directorate letter No 16-01/2024-D dated 17.02.2025 will be
followed with the following working hours tentatively and wll be reviewed as per
the
requirements in due course.

11) At present, the Delivery Center wll perfornm delivery of the articles
on Sunday
and Public holidays. The same will be reviewed and the decision
on the continuance will
be taken in due course based on the operational requirement.

12) Two delivery attempts may be made for documents or parcels and
undelivered
articles may be kept in deposit for maximum of 7 days. Besides, existing
instructions
regardingserving of intimation to the addressee may be strictly followed.
13) The Staff deployed in the Delivery Center will work under the
of the Supervisor and the Supervisor will report to the overall supervision
Divisional Head in pursuance of
orders contained in Directorate letter No 16-01/2024-D dated 19.06.2025.
Further., the
Delivery Center will come under the administrative jurisdiction of
Division.

seals are provided.

the Divisional Office for approval in due course.

be personal responsibility of Supervisor to ensure tallying of Bag Abstract and
Abstract on daily basis without fail.

19) Fuel reimbursenment charges will be reimbursed on monthly basis as


per the
policy guidelines issued by the Directorate vide letter No 16-02/2024-D dated
25.10.2024 as amended from time to time.

20) Delivery staff will be allowed payment under BYOD scheme as per the policy
guidelines issued by the Directorate from time to time.

21) All other guidelines issued by the Directorate from the time to time for
operationalization of Delivery Center will be followed scrupulously.
