sizes 0-5T. Cords and ties, when allowed, must be located solely on the
hood at the base of the front opening.
Cords and ties made from metal chains shall be be used for sizes 0-5T.
For sizes 4-20, Cords, ties, belts, made from metal chains must break away
under the weight of the child.
The maximum length for decorative cords, and ties used on hoods or
in the neck for sizes 7 - 20 is 3”.
Functional drawstring, cords and ties also must meet the following
requirements:
Elastic cords/ties in the hood and neck are not permitted.
Lace up ties for sizes 0-5T must be securely attached at the exit points; sizes
4-20 must be securely attached at the midpoint.
There shall be no free ends for internal drawstrings, cords, ribbons, tapes, or
elastic bungees with the intent to cinch in a garment top at the waist or sweep
area.
Safety loops for internal functional drawstring cords must only be used for
sizes 4-20.
Internal cord must be securely attached at center-back and must sit flush to
the garment; must not be longer than 2" in distance between the exit point and

Requirements
Test Reports must come from a CPSC accepted laboratory. Test reports must be dated
within 12 months, unless otherwise noted in the test line. Test reports must include the
date, item identification, testing/verification performed and designated pass result.

a controlled process that results in consistent conformance to our requirements. Must be

7. For products requiring a tracking method (e.g. children’s products, wood products, etc.),
indicate how the product can be linked to the test report (e.g. tracking label, lot code, etc.);
8. Signature of an officer or a high-level management official with authority to act on behalf
of the company;
9. If applicable, a copy of the test report must be attached showing that:
a. Product was tested by a Walmart approved test laboratory and meets the
Walmart testing/verification requirements, AND
b. Test report meets the Walmart product testing/verification program time frame
A document detailing the detection, isolation, and identification of chemicals, toxins, or
poisons in a given sample. A toxicology report should include: date, product description,
full formulation review, standard regulation reference, and signature of toxicologist.
Certification issued by an OSHA approved NRTL (Nationally Recognized Testing
Laboratory) recognized for the listing UL standard.
