at the back of the indicator. Connect the Tower lamp. Switch on the

Indicator.

Now the equipment is ready to be configured for measurement as given

in the following sections.

3. DESCRIPTION

INDICATOR :

The Load indicator is a field programmable indicator designed to be used with

strain gauge based transducers to measure parameters like load, pressure, torque
etc. It can take an input of 30 mV DC and can read up to a maximum of 60000
counts with selectable resolution of 0 / 5. This is a panel mounting type
equipment.

The main features of the indicator are :

1. Programmable range up to 60000

2. Calibration through keyboard.
3. Taring through keyboard.
4. Potential free contact

The indicator can be programmed through keyboard for range, resolution,

calibration, and
decimal point. The front panel has got a digital display and a keyboard. The
display can
indicate the following.

1. Tare facility - "TArE"

2 Range - " rAnGE "
3. Resolution - "rSn"
4. Decimal point - “dp”
5. Calibration - "CAL-U "
4.OPERATION

System configuration may be carried out using the keyboard.

CONFIGURING THE SYSTEM

RANGE SETTING:
1. Press SET (3)key, and switch on the indicator the display shows “rNG “.
Press  (4) Key.
2. The display shows `00000' with 1st digit blinking 0 may be set to 0 to 9
by using INC (1) increment key.
2. Use the (4) key to move the blinking to the right side digit. Change
the value by using INC (1) key. Continue this step till the required value
is entered.
3. Press (2) key to store the set value of range. Now the instrument
automatically goes to the next programming parameter i.e. resolution.

RESOLUTION SETTING:
The display shows `rSn' Press (4) Key with ‘0’ blinking press
INC (1) key to change the value. Press (2) key to store the set value
display will go to next programming parameter Decimal Point.

DECIMAL POINT SETTING:

Display shows dP Press Press (4) Key with ‘0’ blinking press
INC (1) key to change the value. Press (2) key to store the set value
display will go to next programming parameter Current.
S-20 (CURRENT SETTING)
The display shows S-20 Press Press (4) Key with ‘0’ blinking press
INC (1) key to change the value. Press (2) key to store the set value
display will go to next programming parameter
Calibration CAL-U switch OFF and ON the Indicator

CALIBRATION
1. Press SET (3) and switch ON the indicator.
2. Display will be showing “rNG” (range).
3. Keep pressing (2) till the display shows “CAL-U”
4. Press (4) then display will show pre-programmed “CAL value” with
one digit blinking.
5. Set the required Weight by using INC (1) for Increment (4) for
SHIFT Shifting the digit WITOUT KEEPING ANY WEIGHT ON THE
PLATFORM.
6. Press (2) to store the value. Then Display will show some reading,
TARE the value by pressing INC (1) . Then Display will show “00”.
7. Now keep the weight to be calibrated on the platform.
8. Display will be showing some reading.
(NOTE:- The display should show the reading more than that of the
CALIBRATED value, if not then weight will not be correct)
9. Press (2) now the Display will show the correct weight which we kept
on to the platform.
10.Remove the weight and see that the Display comes back to “00”.

NOTE: CALIBRATION WEIGHT VALUE TO BE ENTERED

WITHOUT KEEPING ANY WEIGHT ON THE PLAT FORM
After calibration Set the SET weight by Selecting the selector switch in SET
Mode in and press INC or DEC switch to set to required value and after
Select Switch to DEVATION mode and and press INC or DEC switch to set
the required value and keep back the Selector switch to SET mode.
Now the displays show the set value and deviation value according the
weight set. And corresponding lamps will glow according to the set weight.
TARE key is provided to make the value to Zero.
Current output is provided for Actual weight.
