Summer holidays are a time for relaxation, rejuvenation, and

new experiences. At GD Goenka Public School Akhnoor, we

believe that learning should be a continuous and enjoyable
process, even when school is out. To facilitate this, we have
fabricated a set of engaging summer holiday homework
assignments designed to reinforce concepts, encourage
creativity, to enhance your curiosity and foster a love for
learning.

Dear Students,
As the academic year starts, we eagerly anticipate the onset of
summer holidays – a much-deserved break filled with fun,
family, and personal growth. To ensure that your minds remain
active and inquisitive during this period, we have prepared a
special Summer Holiday Homework package. This isn't merely
about completing tasks; it's an opportunity to explore,
discover, and consolidate your knowledge in an enjoyable and
stress-free environment.
Take this time to discover new interests, dive into interesting
books, and engage in fun activities that spark your imagination.
Let the break be both restful and enriching!
Your holiday homework is designed to be a blend of academic
reinforcement, creative expression, and skill development.
to enhance your curiosity.
PLAN AHEAD: The Early Bird Catches the Worm!
REVIEW YOUR HOMEWORK: As soon as you receive your holiday homework, go through all the
assignments for each subject. Understand the requirements and deadlines.
CREATE A SCHEDULE: Divide your holidays into manageable chunks. Allocate specific days or hours for
homework. Don't try to cram everything in the last week. A daily or weekly schedule will help you stay
organized. For example, you could dedicate an hour each morning to academic tasks and keep afternoons
free for activities.
IDENTIFY PRIORITIES: Some assignments might require more time or resources. Prioritize these and start
working on them earlier.
COMPLETE IN A SCRAPBOOK: Finish all assignments in a scrapbook, making sure to date each entry and
add appropriate headings.
CONSISTENCY IS THE KEY: Instead of doing homework for long hours on one day, work for shorter
durations consistently throughout the holidays. For instance, dedicate 30-60 minutes daily to your
homework.
REVIEW AND REINFORCE CLASS TOPICS: Take time to revisit and strengthen your understanding of the
topics covered in class so far.
SET REALISTIC GOALS: Don't overload yourself. Set achievable goals for each day or week.
DESIGNATED WORKSPACE: Find a quiet, well-lit, and comfortable space where you can concentrate on
your studies without distractions.
BALANCE STUDY WITH FUN:
- Don't Overdo It: Summer holidays are for relaxation too! Schedule plenty of time for outdoor play,
hobbies, family trips, and personal interests.
- Reward Yourself: After completing a portion of your homework, reward yourself with a fun activity.
This positive reinforcement will keep you motivated.
- Incorporate Learning into Play: For younger students, parents can turn homework into games or
involve them in practical activities related to their assignments (e.g., measuring ingredients for a recipe if
the homework involves math concepts).
REACH OUT FOR HELP: If you have any questions related to your summer holiday homework, feel free
to contact your teachers between 4 pm and 5 pm.
PARENTAL SUPPORT: Don't hesitate to ask your parents or elder siblings for guidance if you're stuck on
a particular problem. They can help you understand concepts, but ensure you complete the work yourself.
NEATNESS MATTERS: Present your work neatly and legibly. A well-presented assignment reflects your
effort and dedication.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENT: Please note that the submission of your holiday homework is mandatory.
A detailed schedule for submission will be provided soon.

By following these tips, you can transform your summer holiday homework from a chore into a rewarding
experience. We at GD Goenka Public School Akhnoor wish you a fantastic and productive summer break!
Enjoy your holidays, learn something new every day, and come back refreshed and ready for a
phenomenal academic year 2025-26.
