PROTOCOL: THIS REPORT IS BASED ON A STUDY PERFORMED ON HIGHEND PHILIPS AFFINITY 50G MACHINE USING CURVILINEAR /
SUPERFICIAL PROBES.
HEPATOBILIARY:-
T h e l i v e r a p p e a r s n o r m a l i n s i z e ( m e a s u r e s ~ 1 4 . 9 c m ) , s h a p e , p o s i t i o n and shows mildly increased
parenchymal echogenicity – suggestive of grade I fatty changes. No obvious focal lesion is seen in the liver.
No intrahepatic biliary tract dilatation is seen. Portal vein appear normal in course and calibre.
GALL BLADDER:-
Gall bladder is distended with normal wall thickness.
Few calculi are seen in gall bladder lumen, largest measuring ~ 6.1 mm-- suggestive of Cholelithiasis.
Common bile duct appear normal in course and calibre.
PANCREAS & SPLEEN:-
Visualized head, neck and proximal body of pancreas appear normal. Rest of the pancreas is obscured by bowel gases. No
obvious pancreatic / peripancreatic fluid collection is seen.
Spleen is normal in size (measures ~11.9 cm), shape and echotexture.
KIDNEYS:
Right kidney measures ~ 8.7 x 3.5 cm
Left kidney measures ~ 10.2 x 5.5 cm
The Kidneys are visualized and appear normal in size, shape, outline and echotexture.
Corticomedullary differentiation is well maintained on either side.
No mass lesion, calculus or hydronephrosis is seen in either kidney.
URINARY BLADDER:-
Urinary bladder is physiologically well distended and appears normal.
No mass lesion, calculus or diverticulum noted in the urinary bladder.
Urinary bladder wall thickness is normal.
UTERUS AND ADNEXAE:-
Uterus is retroflexed and appears normal in size. (Adv : USG TVS for proper evaluation of uterus considering
the retroflexed nature of uterus). A well-defined anechoic area of size ~10.7 x 10.5 mm is seen closeley abutting the
anterior and right lateral myometrium of uterus - this may represent fibroid or visualized part of right ovary.
A suspicious hypoechoic area of size ~ 12 x 10 mm is seen in posterior myometrium of uterus - ? fibroid.
Endometrial echo is seen in midline and measures 6.9 mm.
There is an anechoic area of size ~36 x 33 x 31 mm is seen in the right adnexa. Few septations and echoes
seen within, with max. thickness of septa is ~ 2.4 mm. The above-mentioned area is closely abutting the
posterior aspect of uterus. This may represent right tubo-ovarian complex or eccentric right ovarian cystic
lesion. (Adv : MRI pelvis for proper characterization)

No free fluid is seen in the abdomen & pelvis.

in lower abdomen on left side with few anechoic areas within. (Adv : FNAC / aspiration for further
