REPORT ON EXAMINATION OF LOWER ABDOMEN

KIDNEYS
Both the kidneys are normal in shape, size (Rt. kidney - 93 mm. & Lt. kidney - 98 mm.) axes & position. Cortical echogenicity
appears normal maintaining cortico-medullary & cortico-hepatic differentiation. Margin is regular and cortical thickness is uniform. No
calcular disease noted. No hydronephrotic changes detected.

URETERS
Visualised part of upper ureters are not dilated.

URINARY BLADDER
Urinary bladder is distended, wall thickness appeared normal. No intraluminal pathology (calculi / mass) could be detected.

UTERUS
Uterus is anterverted, normal in size, measures 76 mm x 27 mm x 39 mm. A hypoechoic and heterogeneous SOL measuring 23
mm x 15 mm is noted in anterior wall of lower part of body of uterus --- suggestive of fibroid. Endometrial echo is normal in
thickness (6.5 mm.) and seen at midline. Cervix appears normal.

Pouch of Douglas is free.

ADNEXA
Adnexa appear clear with no obvious mass lesion could be detected.

OVARIES

Both ovaries show multiple (12-15) small (3-7 mm) peripherally arranged follicles with hypertrophied echogenic central
stroma.

Right ovary measures : 40 mm x 18 mm x 28 mm, vol. - 18 cc.

Left ovary measures : 40 mm x 19 mm x 27 mm, vol. - 11 cc.

IMPRESSION

1. Uterine myoma.

2. Polycystic ovaries.
