1.
Introduce yourself
First of all, I desire to give pleasant greetings to your English center. My full name is
Thach Tran Thuy Tran, and I am 21 years old. I am currently a fourth-year student at Can
Tho University. My major is English Teaching Education, which supports me to learn about
many teaching methods and techniques to provide knowledge to students effectively.
Regarding my work experiences, I used to work as a tutor for a teenager for 9 months
so that I have a precious opportunity to experience a real environment. I used the eighth-
grade textbook of the old education curriculum to teach each unit of the book. Furthermore, I
also prepare for her many exercises to consolidate.
In addition, I also have a trip back to my hometown highschool for school
observation at Hoang Dieu High school, allowing me to know how to organize a classroom,
manage time, write minutes of the classrooms, and support exam invigilation.
In conclusion, I look forward to the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. I
believe that life is a continuous journey of growth and learning, and I am ready to embrace
each new chapter.
2. What is your teaching style?
Well, it is quite difficult to say, from my perspective, teaching style will depend on
the level of the objective that we teach, so that we can adjust how to match with them.
I usually think about some factors like:
Encourage Critical Thinking.
Foster analytical and critical thinking skills by encouraging students to question,
analyze, and evaluate texts.
It also provides opportunities for open discussions and debates.
Adaptability:
Be flexible and willing to adjust teaching methods based on students' needs and
feedback.
Modify lessons to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
Constructive Feedback:
Provide constructive feedback on students' written and oral work to help them
improve.
Encourage self-reflection and revision.
Last but not least, technology Integration:
Integrate technology where appropriate to enhance learning experiences.
Use online resources, educational apps, and multimedia to support lessons
3. If the student doesn't focus on the lesson, what should you do?
If a student is having difficulty focusing on the lesson, there are several strategies that
a teacher can employ to address the issue:
Identify the Root Cause:
Consider whether there are any underlying issues causing the lack of focus, such as
personal problems, learning difficulties, or distractions. Understanding the root cause can
help tailor your approach.
Establish a Positive Learning Environment:
Create a classroom atmosphere that is conducive to learning. Ensure that the physical
environment is comfortable and free from unnecessary distractions.
Vary Teaching Methods:
Employ a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles. Incorporate
interactive activities, group discussions, hands-on projects, and multimedia resources to make
the lesson more engaging.
