Education's role in life is crucial since it instils moral values in learners. As a
result, one section of society thinks that formal education must be started at a
very early age; however, another unit goes for seven years of age. This essay will
address both schools of thought along with a suitable judgement.
On the one hand, children have impressionable minds, and it is beneficial for
them if they spend maximum time with their parents. The kids can understand
various life skills from their parents since they are the first teachers. But, they
may lack exposure to basic literacy and mathematical skills because these
activities are provided at home. Moreover, the learning skills will foster when
students at a very young age interact with others.
On the other hand, the second notion is also imperative as it has been a proven
fact that delaying entry to kindergarten by one year provided mental health
benefits to children. Further, it is found that this delay allowed them to better
control their attention and activity level when they enter school. Late learning
has a number of benefits that are based on anthropological research. It is
believed that human children use play as a way to make sense of the world and
develop their learning and problem-solving skills. Hence, the more time a young
child has to play, the more they will get academic skills.

After this discussion, I believe that the former viewpoint holds more water
owing to the plenty of benefits. The primary aspect is socialization as it is
considered the root of early childhood. In a safe environment away from family,
children meet other people of their age, sowing seeds of socialization and
friendship in young minds. This concept helps to develop self-confidence in the
budding brain by eliminating the shy nature. The secondary blessing is the
inculcation of a sense of cooperation. It is beneficial in enhancing sharing is
caring behaviour under the guidance of professionals.
To conclude, both viewpoints play a vital role towards learning, but early
schooling is beneficial owing to the cut-throat competitive world.
