🍝 Long Recipe – Homemade Lasagna

Ingredients:

For the meat sauce:

●​ 500g beef mince​

●​ 1 onion, chopped​

●​ 2 garlic cloves, minced​

●​ 1 can crushed tomatoes (400g)​

●​ 2 tbsp tomato paste​

●​ 1 tsp dried oregano​

●​ 1 tsp dried basil​

●​ Salt & pepper to taste​

●​ 1 tbsp olive oil​

For the béchamel sauce:

●​ 2 tbsp butter​

●​ 2 tbsp flour​

●​ 2 cups milk​

●​ Salt, pepper, pinch of nutmeg​

●​ ½ cup grated cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)​

Other:

●​ Lasagna pasta sheets (fresh or dried)​

●​ Extra cheese for topping​

Instructions:
1.​ Make the meat sauce:​

○​ Heat oil in a pan, cook onion and garlic until soft.​

○​ Add mince and cook until browned.​

○​ Stir in tomato paste, tomatoes, herbs, salt and pepper.​

○​ Simmer on low heat for 20–30 minutes.​

2.​ Make the béchamel:​

○​ In a pot, melt butter. Add flour and stir for 1 minute.​

○​ Gradually whisk in milk.​

○​ Stir until thick.​

○​ Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.​

○​ Stir in cheese and remove from heat.​

3.​ Assemble the lasagna:​

○​ In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce.​

○​ Add pasta sheets.​

○​ Add a layer of béchamel.​

○​ Repeat layers: meat → pasta → béchamel (2-3 layers).​

○​ Top with remaining béchamel and extra cheese.​

4.​ Bake:​

○​ Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).​

○​ Bake for 35–40 minutes or until golden and bubbling.​

○​ Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
