INTRODUCTION
The Spirit world is as real as the air we breathe and the water we drink. The
natural realm is a reflection of the Spirit world. Earthly things are patterned after
heavenly things (Hebrews 8:1-5).
Our world consists of trees, rivers, mountains, and cities. The heavenly
city, New Jerusalem, has the tree of life, the crystal river of life, and a mountain
where God is worshipped called Mount Zion (Rev. 22:1-5). These heavenly
realities were the original creation that was reflected on Earth when God created
man.
Humanity has struggled to believe in a world that cannot be see with the
eyes, touched with the hands, or smelled when we breathe. To the skeptic, angels
are myths, and demonic spirits are the dark imagination of Nollywood scripts.
The prevailing attitude is the “Thomas syndrome”, which says “Unless I can see
it and touch it, I will never believe it” (John 20:25).
The fact is that there is an invisible veil covering both the natural eyes and
the spiritual understanding of men and women, and only when the veil is lifted or
pierced can be realities of the invisible realm becomes visible.
The Bible is a book written by forty different authors over a period of about
fifteen hundred years of time that tells the story of men called prophets who were
inspired of the Lord and who pierced this veil and Saul marvelous eternal and
heavenly images that brought to mankind the revelation of God.
Paul wrote that there is a veil, similar to scales, over the eyes of our
understanding that clouds the light of God’s revelation from entering into our
minds and enlightening with life changing insight. If we live behind this veil, then
we will never know or experience God’s best for us.
This veil, which at times manifest as a lack of interest in spiritual matters,
a dullness in our understanding, or a spirit of unbelief toward the idea of Bible –
based spiritual manifestations must be lifted to experience the unseen. The ability
to see the future was the gift that set apart the biblical prophets from their false

counterparts in surrounding idolatrous nations. These Hebrew visionaries had a
reputation for knowing the behind closed doors.

ABILITY TO SEE BEYOND THE NATURAL

One such example can be seen when a Syrian general sent his army to
capture one of God’s prophets, Elisha. When Elisha’s servant saw the army, fear
gripped him. However, after Elisha prayed for the eyes of his servant to be
opened, the fear turned to faith as the servant horses and chariots of fire encamped
around about them both, forming a protective hedge (II Kings 6:8-17). There is a
covering of some sort on our physical eyes, which prevents us from seeing the
activity of the spirit world.
Secondly, John was an island when he suddenly saw a “door in heaven
open.” And this opening projected his mind and spirit into another world, a world
just as real as the world we live in (Revelation 4:1, 19:11).
These two biblical incidents from Revelation indicate two important facts:
Something occurs Earth and something occurs in heaven to cause information to
be released and the veil removed. On Earth our eyes must be “opened” This
happens when our inner vision, which creates the images in our brain at night,
receives information from the heavenly realm, which “open,” allowing eternal
information to pass from the heavenly realm to the earthly realm.

THE SEER
A seer is a person who “sees: in the Bible, a is another name for a prophet
– I Sam. 9:9. But more specifically, a seer was a prophet who saw visions –
pictures or scenes seen in the minds eyes, in dreams, or even with one’s natural
eyes. God spoke to His people through prophets in different ways, and one way
was through visions. Accompanying the ability to see vision, a seer was given
insight into what God was saying by these visions.

 There a few different Hebrew words translated “seer” Roch – I Sam. 9:11
and Chozeh II Sam. 24:11 are the two most common. II Chronicles 9:29 might
differentiate between prophet and seer as seen below: “Now the rest of the acts
of Solomon, from first to last, are they not written in the records of Nathan the
prophet and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in thee visions of Iddo
the seer concerning Jeroboam the son of Nebat?
Now, the distinction is probably that Nathan was God’s spokesman in the
world (whether or not he had visions), which Iddo was specifically associated
with “visions”. Another prophet, Jeremiah, also operated as a seer – Jer. 1:11-13.
Notice that god did not ask Jeremiah what he “feels” or “thinks” but rather what
he “sees”. After Jeremiah sees the vision, God gives him insight into what the
vision meant – Jer. 1:14-18.
The term seer is not used in the New Testament but there were still prophets
who had visions. Paul had a vision of heaven – II Corinthians 12:2 as did Stephen
– Acts 7:55-56 and John – Rev. 1:12-16. Seers in the Bible possessed a unique
gift as God vividly communicated with and through them. Their faithfulness in
writing down what they saw helped to complete the word of God as we have it
today.

THREE (3) SIGNS YOU ARE A SEER

1. You are highly visual – A seer is someone who can’t help but see. If you
are the type that see things, events, symbols in your dreams, visions, mental
pictures, imagery, then you are a seer. If you can just help but see, it is a
sign that you are a seer.
2. You always compel to pray – you must understand that every seer is an
intercessor, but not every intercessor is a seer. God does not show you
things to entertain you. He shows you things because you are either part of
the problem or part of the solution because God is not a gossiper. God
shows you things for four reasons: To warn, To change it, to stop it, or

 minimize it if you can’t stop it. Every seer carries within them a burden
through prayer to stand in the gap or close a gap. God reveals in order to
redeem.
3. Recognition – you always see things before they happens shows a sign that
you are a seer.

THREE (3) KEYS TO ACTIVITE YOUR SEERGIFT

1. Intimacy with god/pursue intimacy with God – To get your seer gift
activated or unlocked, you must develop a strong intimacy with God
through the word and prayer.
2. Desire to see what the father is doing - until you desire to know through
the seeing grace you carry your seer gift will remain dormant.
3. You must yield your imagination to the Holy Spirit – Until you surrender
and protection your imagination your seer gift will remain polluted.

THREE (3) TO GROW IN THE SEER REALM

1. You must give yourself to Intercession – A seer is the eyes of the Lord on
earth. If you want to be a seer truly, you must be a selfless person be a place
of prayer and intercession. You must be able to stand in the gap in strong
intercession. If all you do is to pray for yourself alone, then you cannot
grow in the seer grace. Note, there is no point for God to show you things
that He (God) knows that you will not pray about. Those who want to
operate in the seer anointing, must carry burden for prayer/intercession.
God does not gossip, so He cannot show you things He knows you will not
pray about.
2. You must protect your imagination if you want to grow in the seer realm.
You must protect your mind and mind what you feed your mind or else
your seeing realm will become polluted. What you feed your mind with is
what will be delivered to you in your dreams and visions.

3. You must study symbols and their meaning if you want to grow in the seer
realm. Symbols is the language of dreams. Develop yourself by learning
about symbols. To see is not enough, you must be able to interpret what
you see correctly and accurately without miss. Know symbols and what
they represent.

9 LEVELS OF PROPHECTIC REVELATION

1. Impressions: Most of what is called “prophecy” today comes on the lowest
level of prophetic revelation, which is the impression level. These are
general revelations that we put into our own words.
Many of what are called “prophecies” today are in fact our own
exhortations. These may well be the mind of the Lord but are expressed in
our own words. Also, as we become more nature and sensitive in the
prophetic gifts, gentle nudges from the spirit seen louder or more forceful.
We then grow in confidence in what He is impressing on us, and we can
be a bit more bold.
2. Vision: Visions can come on several levels, ranging from those you see
with the eyes of your heart to “open” visions which are like watching a
movie screen.
Revelations that appear meaningless to us may often be a loud roar from
heaven to those who receive the word. Occasionally, we will receive a
vision that does not initially mean anything to the person it concerns, but
later it may mean a great deal.
3. Open Visions: “Open visions” are a higher form of revelation than the
gentle visions we see with the eyes of our hearts. These are vivid and
distinct and are given in such a way that we cannot miss what the Lord is
saying. An example of this type of vision is found regarding Cornelius, the
Centurion, who “clearly saw in a vision an angel of God” – Acts 10:3.

 This revelation was so clear that Cornelius carried on a conversation with
the angel in the vision. This level or revelation is usually infrequent and
used by the Lord of communicate matters of great importance door of faith
to the Gentiles.
4. Dreams: Dreams are also a common form of revelation. Like visions,
dreams can have different levels of clarity and revelation. Some are gentle
nudges from the Lord; others are bold and direct. Some are simply from
our daily activities and we need to recognize and distinguish them. The
dreams which come from the Lord are usually easy to recognize, even if
we do not immediately know what they mean.
5. Trances: The best way to describe a trance is that it is like having a dream
while you are awake – Acts 10:10 – Peter fell into a trance with an
instruction to go Cornelius’ house.
All of a sudden you are caught up into a vision that is so real it seems as
though you are literally there, but you are wide awake and aware of when
you leave and when you return.
These experiences were quite frequent both in the Old and the New
Testaments. John’s revelation on the Isle of Patmos would fall into this
category, as would many of Ezekiel’s experiences, such as when he was
caught up and brought to Jerusalem. Paul was caught up into the third
heaven so that he did not know if he was in the body or out of it. 2
Corinthians 12:2-4
6. Directive Revelation: Peter’s vision of the sheet filled with unclean
animals is a good biblical example of a directive revelation – Acts Chapter
10.
The vision was given to help overcome Peter’s natural resistance to God’s
leading that he should visit the Gentile household of Cornelius. It helped
him make a critical decision and resulted in a major stronghold being
brought down.

7. The Lord’s Audible Voice: When the Holy Spirit within you speaks, it is
more authoritative. Sometimes it is so real it almost seems to be all audible
voice; you may even look around to see who said it. It may seem so audible
sometimes that you may think someone behind you said something. But
then you realize it was in you.
Remember in the Old Testament how the young boy Samuel head a voice
call his name, “Samuel, Samuel? He though Eli was calling him. He
jumped up and ran to Eli to find out what he wanted. Eli said “No, I didn’t
call you,” It happened the third time. Finally, it dawned on Eli what
happening. Eli said, “The next time the Lord calls you, answer Him. “So
the next time it happened, Samuel answered that voice, and the Lord spoke
further to him – I Sam. Chapter 3.
8. Angelic Visitation: This is rather common form of prophetic revelation.
Angels are ministering spirits who have been sent to serve the heirs of
salvation, and it should not be that much of a surprise when we see them
from time to time.
9. Divine Visitation: there are a member of examples in both the Old and
New Testaments of the Lord Himself visiting a person. This is obviously
the highest form of revelation that one could have.

 PRAY FOR YOUR SPIRITUAL EYES TO BE OPENED:
COMMANDING
THE SEER ANOINTING
Do you know you can pray for your spiritual eyes to be opened? You can actually
pray for the seer anointing to rest on you. You can ask for the capacity to ‘see’ in
the spiritual sense.
There are two scriptural prayers that you can pray on a daily basis for the seer
anointing to become evident in your life and ministry – capacity to ‘see’ in the
spiritual realm.
The first of these is Paul’s great prayer in the first chapter of Ephesians: “(I pray)
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit
of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your
hearth may be enlightened so that you will know what is the hope of His calling.
What are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the
surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in
accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about
in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in
the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion,
and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.
(Ephesian 1:17-21)”
Every born again child of God has two sets of eyes. We have our physical eyes,
with which we view the physical created world around us. Paul talked about
second set of eyes – the eyes of our heart, or our inner self – that can be
enlightened to perceive spiritual truth.
Paul said, “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened… You can pray
the prayer like prayer like this “Lord, give me that spirit of wisdom, grant me that
spirit of revelation so that I will be captured by Jesus Christ.
Then you can pray over the eyes of your heart: “Release shafts of revelation light
into them that I might know the hope of your calling, that I might know the

glorious inheritance that lives inside of me, and that I might know the surpassing
greatness of your power that works in me.”
Note: I pray this way and encourage you to do the same because I am convinced
that any believer can develop the seer capacity. All prophecy, including the seer
dimension is a sovereign gift of God, but I do not believe it is an exclusive gift.
Paul’s prayer makes it clear that if you pray over the eyes of your heart,
God will give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.
This means you will come to know the Lord in a way you never could on your
own or in your own wisdom.
The second scripture you can pray with for your spiritual eyes to be opened
can be found in 2 Kings 6.here is the situation: the king of Aram wants to capture
the Prophet Elisha, and has sent his army to surround the city of Dothan where
Elisha is living. Elisha’s servant sees the great army and is terrified.
“Now when the attendant of the man of God has risen early and gone out,
behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his
servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do? “So he answered,
“Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with
them.” Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he
may see."
And the Lord opened the servant’s eyes and he saw and behold, the
mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha (2 Kings
6:15-17).
This scripture shows that we can pray for someone else to be enlightened. Elisha
was a seer, he saw something his servant could not see and he prayed, “O Lord
…open his eyes that he may see” it was such a simple prayer, and the Lord
answered it. He enabled the servant to see into the spiritual realm.
Through the prayer of one who was a seer came an impartation to another of the
capacity to see.

PRACTICAL PROPHETIC STEPS TO
OPEN YOUR SPIRITUAL EYES
1. Get a bottle of water and read Psalms 29, 19, 4 into the bottle of water with
a three days water only fast. No food. You will only take water evening of each
day of the three days fast.
Please note that you will read each Psalms mentioned three (3) time each into the
water.
During the three days fast you will ask the Holy Spirit to open your spiritual
eyes for clarity of visions and revelations. You must keep a vigil watch every
night between 12 midnight and 2am.
After the three days fast, you will start using the water to wash your eyes
every night before you go to bed. Jehovah the revealer of mysteries will open
your spiritual eyes in the name of Jesus.

2. Get a bottle of water and read Psalms 4, 19 and Revelation chapter 4 into
the water. You will also embark on a three days dry fast also with this second
method while you will read each scripture mention here three times each into the
water. You will repeat this each day of the fast.

Note: Each day of the fast, you will chant “HOLY SPIRIT THE
REVEALER OF TRUTH OPEN MY EYES TO SEE
INTO THE SPIRIT REALM”
- 91 times each day of the fast over the water.

You will start using the water to wash your eyes/face every morning after the
three days fast.

Note: If you do this by faith, your day vision will be clear and sharp. Mysteriously
in a supernatural way, your spiritual eyes will be opened and you will be able to
see into people’s situations when they appear before you or when you minister.

Finally, I will like to say that the two practical methods of opening your spiritual
eyes which I shared with must be done regularly for your spiritual vision to be
well enhanced. At least, you can carry out the prophetic exercise every three
month.
This will further help you to grow the more in the prophetic vision and
revelations.

The question you may want to ask is that can I set out a three days dry fast
to carry out the two prophetic assignment for vision enhancement. The answer is
yes. You can get two bottle water and pray over them within the three days fast.

As you do this by faith with an open heart and absolute reliance on God,
the result will be amazing. Do not forget that your heart and motive must be
correct before you can receive the gift of a seer. God bless you in Jesus name.
