THE LABOUR OF THE FOOL
Luke 12: 16:21: “then a spoke a parable to them, saying: “The ground of a
certain rich man yielded plentifully, and he thought within himself, saying,
‘what shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?............... verse 21
A fool is not a person who do not have formal education or someone
who can not read or write. A fool is a moron or imbecile. According to the
above verses of the scripture quoted, a fool can be rich, social, educated,
even a church-goer and tongue-rolling and blasting Christian! The fool rich
man thought the purpose for which he was rich was to enrich himself
forgotting that God intentionally blessed and multiplied him for His (GOD)
purpose. You are a fool when you are using God to fulfil your own purpose.
I will break this teahcing into three sub-divisions.
Activation of purpose
Deactivation of purpose, and
Reactivation of purpose
Activation of purpose
Genesis 2:15; then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of
Eden to tend and keep it. God created man to survive in the garden of Eden
( Environment for divine expression) and made everything available for man
to survive, and so it was. You can only survive where God put you, and
any other means to survive will amount to struggling. Man contiued to
enjoy divine provision without struggling simply because God ordained it.
God made Himself equal with man by coming in the cool of the day to check
on what He has created.
Deactivation of purpose
Genesis 3: 24; So He drove out the man: and He placed cherubim at the east
of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard
the way to the tree of life. Man’s purpose became deactivated when being
sent out of Eden. When being disconnected from the premises of divine
expression to the premises of SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST.
A lot of people are malfunctioning because they are not where God put them.
His wife introduced new thing to him which totally stripped him off of God’s
glory. Not all manners of things you can do to fulfill God’s purpose. The Fact
that something is good does not mean it is from God; and that something is
from abroad does not mean it is divinely approved because abroad is not
above.
If I may ask you these few questions:
- Who introduced you to what you are doing?
- Is it exactly what God wanted you to do or you felt is a means to it?
- Is God happy with what you are doing?
- What method(s) are you adopting to fulfil the purpose of God for your
life?
If you can boldly and sincerely answer these questions it will help you to
know whether you are on DIVINE PATH OR ALTERNATIVE PATH.
When you copy others to live your life you cannot express yourself to the
fullest, and it is a way of abusing purpose. To imitate others is to abuse
divine purpose because imitation is limitation.
Reactivation of purpose
Romans 3: 24-25; being justified freely by His grace through the redemption
that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth to be a propitiation by His blood,
through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance
God had passed over the sins that were previously committed.
Purpose restored through the shedding of blood. Here, a man survives
by grace through redemption in Christ Jesus. In Chemistry, there is activation
energy which is the minimum amount of energy required to initiate a
reaction. It is the height of the potential energy barrier between the potential
energy of the reactants and products. The blood of Jesus Christ was the
energy supplied to remove the barrier between man and God. Hence, man
was restored to her original position. Halleluyah!
It is time we stop self-deception and self-manipulation and enter into a
realm of reality. Therefore, God has interest in us coming back to what He
has programmed us to be, so that we will not use precious years in pursuing
shadow.
Read this story meditatively
A story that made me laugh (A girl). “she ran race in her school inter-house
sports and won. She was so excited that she dusted everyone, in the
euphoria, she was hugging everyone in her way including an electric pole
(haba!). Sports celebration these days……
She turned around in that moment of glory to go register at the medal
official stand only to discover that 1 st, 2nd, and 3rd are already line up to
register. Getting there, she was told that she is disqualified! Why? For
running so fast or did she over rejoiced? NO, none of that. She finished in
another person’s lane!
Hmmm…. While we all laughed I paused to think. “is it possible to run
the race of life so good, so well, come first and get disqualified.
My submission here is, know your lane or purpose or assignment in
life, keep to it and finish there. Many stars ended up miserable and
committed suicide because they celebrate excitement but not their
purpose.
