Resource Mobilization Officer

Location: Nairobi

Job Purpose:
The Resource Mobilization Officer will lead efforts to secure financial and non-financial
resources necessary to sustain and expand the Therapy Rehabilitation Center’s programs
and services. This includes fundraising, partnership development, proposal writing, and
donor relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fundraising & Resource Generation


• Develop and implement a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy.
• Identify and pursue local and international funding opportunities from individuals,
corporate entities, foundations, and development partners.
• Organize fundraising events and community engagement campaigns.

2. Donor Engagement & Relationship Management


• Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and partners.
• Prepare and share regular donor updates and reports.
• Maintain a donor database and ensure timely follow-ups.

3. Proposal Development & Grant Management


• Research funding sources and prepare high-quality proposals and grant applications.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements and timely reporting.
• Track grant performance and resource utilization in collaboration with finance and
program teams.

4. Partnership Development
• Identify and establish strategic partnerships with corporate sponsors, government
agencies, and NGOs.
• Negotiate and manage partnership agreements and MoUs.

5. Advocacy & Marketing Support


• Collaborate with the communications team to develop compelling fundraising materials
(brochures, social media content, impact videos).
• Promote the therapy center’s services and programs to attract resources.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Business Administration, Fundraising,
Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in fundraising, grant writing, or resource mobilization.
• Strong proposal writing and budgeting skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking abilities.
• Familiarity with therapy/rehabilitation/healthcare programs is an added advantage.

Key Competencies:
• Strategic thinking and creativity in fundraising approaches.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• High integrity and accountability.
• Proficiency in MS Office and donor management systems.
