RULES & REGULATIONS

Team details
 Team Size – maximum 2
 No student can be a part of more than one team.
 Students from different institutes can form a team.

Rules
 A team cannot submit multiple entries.
 The topics will be known in advance.
 Audio-visual film should be in form of .mpg, .avi, or .fly format of not more than a
minute. Flash presentation is also allowed.
 Innovative taglines, logo and jingle are mandatory.
 Participants have to present their Ad on the final day. Total time for each
presentation would be 5 minutes.

2. INQUISITOR- The Case Study Competition
This competition is all about judging your intellect,
managerial skills and ability to craft sustainable solutions to
the problems that organizations face today. If you can strain
you nerve, and come up with solutions that are practical and
implementable…. come join…. challenging live cases from
some great ventures await your sight…. those who wish to
provide real-time feasible solutions and to prove themselves.
Who knows... maybe you can make a difference....

Team Details
 Team size- maximum 2.
 No student can be a part of more than one team.
 Students from different institutes can form a team.

Rules
 Event will be conducted in 2 rounds - the Preliminary Phase & Final Round-
Preliminary Round- Students will be shortlisted on the basis of submission of solved case study..
 Abstract has to be submitted online in pdf form at magnifest.events.himcs@gmail.com before 19th
April 2025.
Final Round- Shortlisted students will be required to give a presentation on the final day, in
which they have to explain the whole case study.
 Presentation has to be in power point.
 Team members should be dressed in formal business formal attire for the
presentation.
 All team members must speak.
 The case study will be provided in advance.
 The solution submitted should not be copied from web or any other such source
exactly else the entry would be discarded. 
 All references & sources of data should be clearly mentioned in your
submission.
 Venue: on-campus (HIMCS, Mathura)
 Presentation Time: 5 to 10 minutes & Cross Questions: 2 min.

3. LOGO CONTRIVER- The Logo Designing
Competition
The logo is the representation of an organizations‟
ideals, goals, & identity, and helps impressing
prospects & customers with an effective & stimulating
image that grabs their attention and pulls them in. So,
what are you waiting for?... Here
is an opportunity to DESIGN & CREATE THE FACE
VALUER OF THE COMPANY…. This
activity will give you a platform to convey a sense of
style in you, represent your creative skills and grab the
prizes.

Rules
 A team cannot submit multiple entries.
 The topic will be known in advance.
 Logo & Tagline should be innovative and not a replica of the existing one. Logo
should give clear message to the relative topic.
 Candidates can either use Graphic software or they can draw their design on paper.
 Participants have to present their Logo on the Day. All team members must speak.

 Total time for each presentation: max. 2 minutes.

4. MERIDIAN B- PLAN - The Business Plan
Contest
New business ideas are a fuel for the growth of any economy;
especially for a booming & developing economy like India.
MERIDIAN B- PLAN is the business plan contest that seeks
to identify budding entrepreneurs …. an endeavour to spur
aspiring entrepreneurs to launch on to such opportunities and
create success stories.

Team Details
 Team size- maximum 2.
 No student can be a part of more than one team.
 Students from different institutes can form a team.

Rules
 A team cannot submit multiple entries. 
 Event will be conducted in 2 rounds - the Preliminary Phase & Final Round-
Preliminary Round- Students will be shortlisted on the basis of abstract.
 Abstract should be maximum one and a half page in pdf.
 Abstract has to be submitted online magnifest.events.himcs@gmail.com before 19th April 2025.
Final Round- Shortlisted students will be required to give a presentation on the final day, in
which they have to explain the whole proposed plan.

5. ULTIMATE TURMOIL- The Debate Competition
Do you have the gumption to justify your stand? Do you
believe you have the wherewithal to defend any topic,
controversial or otherwise? Do you possess the style and the
intellect that makes people stand up and take notice? If
YES…. then this is the platform to share your thoughts and
opinion, an activity where students will get a chance to
express their views on a pre-decided topic. We give you an
opportunity to express your thoughts, enhance your
communication skills and build your argumentative skills.

Team Details
 Only individual entries allowed.
 No student can submit more than one entry.

Rules
 Topic will be given on the final day. (10-15 mins
before).
 Students have the option to speak either “for the motion” or “against the motion”.
 Speakers must use parliamentary language.
 The use of prop is not permitted.
 Venue: on-campus (HIMCS, Mathura)
 Time Limit to Speak: 5 mins max. (Missing Time limits may lead to
disqualification).

6. ZENITH – THE BEST BUSINESS TYCOON
Organizations running without management, employees working
without objective & guidance, leading to no success…. how
chaotic and unorganized would such a set-up be. This is why every
organization needs a manager, to lead, to succeed, to channelize the
efforts in proper direction, and to bring out the best from the
available resources. Do you have these skills? …… If yes, then,
what are you waiting for?

Team Details
 Only individual entries allowed.
 No student can submit more than one entry.
 Eligibility Criteria- UG & PG only

Rules
 Event will be conducted in 3 rounds - the Preliminary Round, the Second Round, and
the Final Round-
Preliminary Round- candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of a written test (paper-pen)
to be held on the final day.
 Test will comprise of a total of 30 questions (15 questions on Aptitude, 7 on Logical
reasoning and 8 on General awareness), 
 Total Time: 35 minutes.
Second Round- will comprise of a Group Discussion
 On the same day, topic will be given 10 minutes before, on the spot.
 Venue: on-campus (HIMCS, Mathura)
 Total Time: 5 to 10 minutes.
Final Round- selection will be on the basis of a Stress Interview on the same day.
 Questions will be asked to test one’s ability to cope under pressure.
 Questions may be fired by either the judges or audience.

7. TREASURE TROVE
Want to check how well you can work in a team?
Or how deep can you go to crack a mystery?
This is a team event where there will be 5
participants per team. In this the team has to
prove their creativity, team work and quick
thinking and derive strategies for the solving the
case. While unlocking the mystery, you may also
get trapped, but one thing is for sure that this
experience will surely keep you on your
tenterhooks until you reach your goals…Come
and unlock the mystery….

Team Details
 Team size- maximum 5.
 No student can be a part of more than one
team.
 Students from different institutes can form
a team.

Rules
 Each team has to find 4 clues and the final clue will be the same for everyone.
 All the clues will be planted within the college premises by us.
 The teams have to reach the treasure by way of gathering the clues planted by
us.
 The teams will get the next clue from the place where they got the last clue.
 All the clues found by the team members during the hunt will have to be
submitted to us, only then the team will be eligible for judgement.
 The time will be provided on the spot.
 WINNER WILL BE DECIDED ON THE BASIS OF THE TIME TAKEN TO
 COMPLETE THE HUNT. The treasure hunt round should be completed within
the given time or less than that, BEST TIME WILL WIN.

8. PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST

You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You


bring to the act of photography all the pictures you
have seen, the books you have read, the music you
have heard, the people you have loved.

Rules
 There will be 2 rounds:-
Preliminary round-
 Entries must be original work by the
participant.
 Each participant may submit up to 3 photos.
 Entries must be submitted in JPEG/PNG
format.
 All entries must be submitted at
magnifest.events.himcs@gmail.com
before 19th April 2025.
 Include your full name, contact details, and
image details with each submission.
 Entries containing inappropriate or offensive
content will be disqualified.
 Plagiarized or AI-generated images are strictly
prohibited.
 Participants have to present their pictures on the final day.
Final round-
 The 10 shortlisted candidates will
be asked to click one photo during
the event using their creativity.

3. JUST DANCE – ON THE SPOT DANCE
“This is my dance space. This is your dance space. I don't go
into yours; you don't go into mine.”
It is all about letting yourself free and show everyone that you
aren’t a cent less than any of them. It’s about passion for your
own style of dancing, showcasing your own crazy moves. A
platform for the young talents to showcase their ability beyond
preparation and to enthral the audience with an unexpected and
surprising performance that has not been witnessed ever before.
The thumping applause, the beats and an electrifying
atmosphere awaits you….

Rules
 Dance styles can vary from Indian to western. (all
dance forms)
 Participants need to make own arrangements for the
props they require.
Auditions (Elimination Round)- two participants will
perform on the same song simultaneously. 
 Time limit: 2 minutes (Only the participants which
will be selected by the judges will qualify for the final
round).

Final Round- each participant will perform on songs which will be given on the spot.
 Time limit: 3- 4 minutes.

4. SUR SANGAM - Solo Singing
Music is to vent divinity within earthly beings. Let in the
waves of ecstasy ...!! Pick up a tune, give in your vocal, your
genre and make the audience sway to your rhythm… and pay
tribute to the likes of George Strait, Tim McGraw, Lata
Mangeshkar, Kishore Da & rest. Come mesmerize the
audience with any genre of western/classical music you feel
suiting.

 The song should have lyrics in Indian language.
 A copy of lyrics should be submitted before
performance.
 Lyrics will be checked for vulgarity and profanity.
 Participants need to make arrangements for their
karaoke.

5. BATTLE OF BANDS
A place where music bands battle out their music skills
to victory. The most happening event of the cultural
festival of Magnifest, calls you out to participate and
compete in it….

Rules
 Participants are required to carry their college-
id cards.
 Multiple entries from the same institute are
allowed.
 Use of obscene lyrics or gestures is not allowed.
 Bands are to bring their own equipment apart
from drums which would be arranged by the
event managers.
 Specify the number of wires needed beforehand.
 Rules subject to modification at the sole
discretion of Judging committee.
 Total Time: 20 min. (Stage In to Stage Out time including sound check).

 One entry per college.
 Theme for fashion show – OPEN THEME
 Green room will be provided for changing purpose.
 Should carry their tracks in C.D, pen drive etc.
 Vulgarity is strongly prohibited. Any form of obscenity will lead to debarring the
team from the contest.
 Teams have to bring their own props.
 Time limit for every team would be 10 minutes (Including setup and the performance
both).

 Dance styles can vary from Indian to western (all dance forms are allowed).
 Participants need to make own arrangements for the props they require.
 There will be 2 rounds-
 Auditions (Elimination Round) - Time limit: 2 minutes. Only the participants
which are selected by the judge will qualify for the final round.

 Final Round- Time limit: 3- 4 minutes. Exceeding the time limits would lead to
deduction of marks.

 Every Round is Elimination Round.
 The 3rd Round may be conducted on the basis of results of the 2nd Round, if required.
 Participants shall not be allowed to discuss/ talk with others, or use mobile or
other electronic instruments during the quiz time. If anyone is found doing so
then, he/she will be disqualified. In case of query consult the invigilator.
 Participant's Name & Id should be mentioned on the Answer sheet (failing which
he/she will be disqualified).
 No extra time will be provided.

3. DE-BUGGING CONTEST

Rules
 Arrive at the venue 15 minutes
before the contest begins. Entry will
not be permitted after 5 minutes from
the start of the event.
 All rules and guidelines will be
communicated to participants 5
minutes before the start of the
contest
 Seat numbers will be assigned
on-site upon arrival.

 The contest consists of 2 rounds. A 3rd round may be held depending on the outcomes of the
2nd round, if deemed necessary.
 Every Round is an Elimination Round.
 Participants are prohibited from discussing with others, talking, or using mobile
phones or electronic devices during the contest. Violation of this rule will result in
immediate disqualification. For any questions, consult the invigilator.
 Participants must write their Name and Seat Number on the answer sheet; failure to do so will
lead to disqualification.
 No extra sheet and time will be provided.
First Round
 Number of Questions: 4
 An A4 sheet will be provided for submitting your answers.
 Task: Identify the line of error, specify the type of error, and provide the corrected version.
 Duration: 1 hour
Second Round
 Number of Questions: 2
 An A4 sheet will be provided for submitting your answers.
 Task: Identify the line of error, specify the type of error, and provide the corrected version.
 Duration:20 minutes

4. E-Gaming BGMI TDM
Rules
 Registration fee Rs 100/ per person
 Number of players: 4 vs 4
 Time limit: 8 minutes
 Team’s need to score points by killing
enemies. The team that scores the
most points in 8 minutes is considered
the winner
 The team who will kill 40 enemies
first will win the match
 Players can choose any weapon by
picking up from their spawn area.
 Only 10 teams consider for final round.
 Use of emulators and/or any other device(s) giving an unfair advantage
to players is not allowed in the tournament. (no cheating allowed)
 It is the player's responsibility to check their device before starting their match.
 Any disconnection issues) while being in the lobby or from the game
will not be entertained unless the same issues is/are faced by a major
number of players.
 Audition timing and mode will be sent you on your WhatsApp.
