Introduction: Prayer is the means through which we communicate with God. Prayer is to our
spirit like oxygen for our body. We cannot live without praying! A Christian who does not pray is
"suffocating" his spirit, and it won't be long before his spirit dies; however, a believer who
dedicating daily time to prayer is strengthening your spirit and filling it with the life of God.
The sentence does not consist of big and eloquent words, but of the sincere expression of our thoughts.
your feelings with God, just as a child does with his father or mother. It is the opportunity to share
with God our problems, doubts, projects, fears, and needs. Through prayer we can know
to God in a personal way, since God desires to have an intimate relationship with us, His children.
Acts 1:14 says, "all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication"! 4 very important words! To persevere,
unanimous, prayer and supplication. The disciples prayed persistently for 10 days until the Spirit was
poured out upon them (Acts 2:1-4). The key is in perseverance and fervor. Prayer and supplication! (Heb 5:7)
It is done in private (v6), it is directed to the Father (v6b, 8,9), honors God (v9), expresses our desire that His
your will be done instead of ours (v10), requests provision for needs (v11), acknowledges the need
to ask for forgiveness and also to forgive others (v12,14,15), acknowledges the existence of evil and asks for our
liberation (v13a); and finally concludes with praise and worship to God (v13b)
How should we pray? Let's look at some biblical attitudes when praying:
How to fast?
• For a certain period of time, abstain from solid food and drink only water.
For example, a 24-hour fast, or one day, would be to have dinner and then not eat anything until dinner the next day.
• Dedicate to prayer and biblical reading at least the time that you normally dedicate to eating.
• Another type of fasting is the fasting that the prophet Daniel did, eating only vegetables and drinking water. (Dn 1:8-16)
• Be cautious when fasting, take care if there is illness, pregnancy, etc.
Practical tips
• It is a spiritual exercise, therefore plan with the Holy Spirit how, where, and when.
• Avoid eating too much before starting the fast; on the contrary, start reducing portions.
• Choose the time, place, and above all, the purpose of the fast.
• Avoid fasting during inconvenient times (such as Christmas, birthdays) or times of heavy work or study.
• Start slowly (maybe with just one or two meals). It shouldn't feel like a burden or punishment.
• Let it be something personal and secret. Do not go announcing it to half the world. (Matthew 6: 17-18)
• Present your fast before God, say: "Lord, here I am, give me strength during this fasting period …"
• End your fast with gratitude, write down what you received, meditate on those things, and await their response.

The Holy Scriptures constitute the inspired and infallible Word of God, superior to conscience and reason.
Both the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God and are the revelation of God.
for man, the infallible, absolute, and authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
The Bible is the Word of God, it is the spiritual food we need to grow and renew our minds.
That's why we must discipline ourselves in its daily reading (Matthew 4:4). We must continually nourish ourselves with the
Word to achieve significant changes in our lives. The habit of meditating and studying in a way
Systematically studying the Holy Scriptures will bring a lot of fruit to our lives. It is not enough to read it 'in passing', only
fulfill. The Lord wants to speak to us and instill in our hearts a new message every day. The Bible contains
history and science, but it is not a book of history or science. The Bible is a book of salvation, through
how we come to know God and His will for us. (2 Tim 3:15)
The Word of God is to our spirit and soul what food is to our body. It's somewhat like 'the
"user manual" through which God guides us on how we should live our lives.
so that we may enjoy peace and prosperity, and so that it may go well for us in life. (Deuteronomy 4:40)
The Word of God reproves us: the word reproach means to use an argument against the person who it

errors. Convince sinners of their condition. Act as a red light that warns of the danger we are in.
we find and like a traffic sign that indicates the proper exit. The Word of God is the
instrument that the Holy Spirit uses to convict us of sin (John 16:8).
The Word of God corrects us: The Bible is a kind of mirror that reflects two realities. On one hand,
reflects what we are and our spiritual and emotional condition; and on the other hand, it reflects the person that God
wait for us to be. That contrast is what helps us make the necessary changes.
The Word of God instructs us in righteousness: The Word teaches us to walk in the path of righteousness and
in the life of faith. It guides us regarding what is right and what is not according to God's will. It points to the
moral, intellectual, but above all spiritual formation. Their instruction aims at the total regeneration of
our lives until we reach the fullness of Christ. (Eph 3:19; 4:13)
The Word of God perfects us: The Bible is a kind of instruction manual prepared by
our Creator, so that we know how we function, and consequently, live correctly, so as not to
to ruin us. When that instruction manual is set aside, our life does not reach perfection, it is
To say, it becomes disadjusted. But if we cling to the Word, it makes us fit for life. (1 Tim 3:17a)
The Word of God equips us for good works: The Bible empowers us to serve God and others.
Ephesians 2:10 says that we were "created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand.
so that we could walk in them." In this context, the Bible is somewhat like a map that guides us to walk.
in those good works that God intended for us, and to guide us in God's purpose.

In the time of Jesus, the people of Palestine spoke Aramaic at home, used Hebrew for reading the

wonderful. Its authors were kings, prophets, shepherds (of sheep), farmers, fishermen, collectors of
