2v2 Kill Team
This game mode is designed to allow a group of 4 players to play 2 v 2 Kill Team.
While many people play 2 v 2 Kill Team with their regular teams and simply
double the board size, it tends to extend games to nearly 2 hours and makes it
nearly impossible for teams like Death Guard to get into melee combat, this is
unless you extend the amount of Turning Points, which can make the game go
even longer. This mode is an attempt to give 4 players the ability to play Kill
Team, while keeping the overall length and flow of the match the same.
While the majority of the core rules are the same throughout the battle, there are
differences in list building and pre-game set up to accommodate for 4 players.
Each individual player will be controlling a smaller team with less equipment and
less CP. This is to keep the overall match to 5-12 minis per team like regular kill
team, and to work with the same board size and terrain set up.

                                     Rules Differences
 This will be a 4 player game mode with two teams. And each player having their own Kill Team and
controlling their own operatives. The players share a VP pool, and the team with the most VP wins.
Players on the same team must choose different factions when picking their Kill Team.
When choosing operatives for your Kill Team, instead of following your teams regulator list building
rules, follow the 2v2 List Building guidelines instead.
When choosing Equipment, each individual player will have access to 5 EP instead of 10.
During each turning point, on the teams first activation they designate a player to go first for that team,
then the players alternate who gets to activate one of their operatives each time it becomes that teams
turn.
Example. If team 1 has player A and player B on it. Player A will activate his models, then team 2 goes,
then player B activates one of their models, then team 2 goes, then player A, and so on.
You can only activate your own models during your turn, not your teammates.
“Friendly operatives” do count as any operative on your team. So your teammate’s operatives can be
affected by effects that target friendly operatives.
Each player starts with 0 CP, and you do not gain CP for having a leader, you will still generate a CP
during each Turning Point. So you will have access to 4 CP total per player throughout the game.
Overwatch changes. Once all of an individual players operatives have gone, when it becomes their turn,
they may perform an overwatch action even if their teammate still has operatives left to activate. If there
are no possible overwatch actions to be taken, that player may give their turn to their teammate instead.
Once all models have been activated for both teams, the turning point is over.
If one teammate has all of their operatives removed from the board, the other teammate plays as though
it was a single player game. The teammate that had all operatives incapacitated can no longer use ploys
or abilities.
For scoring missions and tac-ops, count team models APL. Teammates use their collective APL to decide
which team scores an objective.
                               2v2 Mission Sequence
1. DETERMINE TEAMS:
There will be two teams, Team A and Team B. Each player rolls 2d6, the highest and
lowest results are Team A, the other two players are Team B.
2. DETERMINE MISSION
The players determine which mission they will play.
4. DETERMINE KILLZONE
The players determine which Killzone is in use, either by agreeing which one to use or
by rolling off and the winner decides. In the case of a roll off, each team rolls 2d6 and
the higher total is the winner. The players then set up its gameboard and terrain
features. When setting up a terrain feature, the players should agree on the terrain
traits of each part of it. If players are using terrain features in the configuration
specified by their Killzone, these terrain traits will be specified.
Each team shuffles their six-card deck, then determines which Tac Ops they have for
the battle in secret. To do so, they draw two cards from their deck, select one and
discard the other. They repeat this process until three Tac Ops cards have been
selected. They do not need to declare which Tac Ops they have selected.
8. SELECT EQUIPMENT
Each individual player selects up to five points worth of equipment from their faction
army list to equip operatives from their individual kill team with for the battle,
following all rules specified in that equipment list. Once both players have selected
their equipment, they should reveal it to their opponent. After each game, all
equipment is returned and an operative is no longer equipped with it.
9. SET UP BARRICADES
The teams alternate setting up barricades, one at a time, starting with a Defender
teammate and then alternating to an Attacker teammate, then the other Defender
teammate, then the other Attacker teammate, until the players have set up two
barricades each. Each time a player sets up a barricade, it must be within 6” of their
drop zone and not on a terrain feature (unless it has the Insignificant trait).
Each team can score a maximum of 12 victory points from the mission objective.
Each team can score a maximum of 2 victory points from each Tac Op, therefore a
team's Tac Ops are worth 6 victory points in total.
If every operative on a team's matched roster was painted to a Battle Ready standard,
that player scores 2 victory points.
In total, each team can score a maximum of 20 victory points from the game.
