RBI GRADE B SYLLABUS
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is the central bank of the country. Bank aspirants eagerly wait for the
ition of RBI Grade B. RBI Grade B syllabus is vast compared to the other banking exams.
Hiculty level is also different from the other banking exams. Candidates must make a note
that they prepare themselves well enough to qualify the exam in the very first attempt.
RBI Grade B syllabus is conducted in two phases-I and II. Reserves Bank of India prescribes the
syllabus for Phase-II. However, the syllabus for Phase-I has been compiled taking into account the
previous years’ question paper trend. In 2021, RBI has revised the syllabus for Phase-II. Several
new topies have been added in the Paper-I and III of RBI Grade B syllabus of Phase-I
RBI Grade B syllabus for Phase-I comprises four sections: Reasoning Ability, Quantitative
Aptitude, General Awareness and English Language. Phase-II exam includes three sections’
Economie and Social Sciences, English and Finance and Management.

RBI Grade B Syllabus for Phase-I
‘The Phase-I exam is the first stage of RBI Grade B recruitment. Only candidates will be selected
for the Phase-II who will qualify the Phase-I exam. RBI Grade B syllabus for Phase I is divided
into General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. Total marks
allotted to the exam are 200. The test paper comprises a total of 200 questions. RBI Grade B
syllabus for Phase-1 is given below.

RBI Grade B syllabus for Phase-II comprises three papers and is divided into topies and sub-topies.
Paper-I (Economie & Social Issues) and III (Finance and Management) comprises both objective
and descriptive type questions and Paper-II (English-Writing Skills) comprises only descriptive
type questions. The total marks of the test are 300, each paper is for 100 marks. RBI Grade B

RBI Grade B Exam Pattern
RBI Grade B exam pattern is divided into Phase-L, Il and Interview. Phase-I exam pattern is divided
into four sections. The test paper carries a total of 200 questions. Candidates are given 120 minutes
to solve all the questions. Total marks of the test are 200. Phase-III comprises three papers-I, I
and IIL. Total marks of the test are 300, The test comprises both descriptive and subjective type
questions.
