11. In Kijiji ndogo village a processing company decided to implement environmental
sustainability principles. As a result, they not only improved their environmental impact but
also saved on operational costs, thus increasing profitability and community support. Despite
this change, the village recently experienced heavy rainfall that led to property damage,
disruption of infrastructure and exposed the community’s vulnerability and struggle with
limited resources to contain the situation.
