COMPONENT MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS


1. Replacement and Overhaul Items Schedule
A. General
This section consists of a list of equipment which must be either overhauled or replaced by
serviceable components, at the intervals indicated.
Items listed under Life Limit are service life limited and require replacement at the times indicated.
Items not listed are considered On Condition and will be maintained in a continuous airworthy
condition by periodic inspection checks, service, repair and / or preventive maintenance described
in the aircraft maintenance manual.
All intervals are in flight hours unless otherwise indicated.

MAINTENANCE MANUAL
(1) The cylinder valve / regulator is attached to the neck of the oxgyen cylinder. Oxygen cylinder hydrostatic test and functional check of the cylinder valve / regulator will be
done at the same time, at the manufacturer or at an authorized repair facility.
The cylinder valve / regulator has no life limit therefore it can be removed from the expired life limit cylinder and installed on the new one, at the manufacturer or at an
authorized repair facility.
(2) Hydrostatic test and service life requirements of the following bottles are defined by Title 49 CFR, Part 180, Section 180.205(c). All cylinders / spheres used as aircraft
equipment must be maintained as follows:
DOT specification cylinders including spheres must be inspected and tested as required by Title 49 CFR, Part 180, Section 180.205.
Cylinders including spheres manufactured under an exemption issued by RSPA must be inspected and tested as required by the terms of the exemption.
All other cylinders including spheres must be inspected and tested as required by Title 49 CFR, Part 180, Section 180.205 unless alternative testing and inspection
procedures are specified by the manufacturer or referenced authority.
Operators under Title 14 CFR parts 121 / 135 with heavy scheduled maintenance checks that are accomplished in phases or segments are required to have a procedure
in place to check cylinders during that phase or segment of their heavy maintenance checks in which maintenance of high-pressure cylinders would normally occur.
