Chapters Definition of the Quran to
Surah Al Kawthar (pg.12 to pg.49)
1. State the different names of the Qura’n. Al-Kitab, Al-Quran
2. How is the Qur’an protected, and how and when was it revealed and
remembered? It was revealed to the Prophet Mohammad(SAW) over a
course of 23 years by the angel Jibrael, and was protected and
remembered by oral tradition, and the prophet and his companions
memorized it.
3. What is Sujood at Tilaawah, and how often does it occur in the Qur’an?
Its different verses of the quran that require you to make sujood and
prostrate as if you are in prayer. It occurs 14 times.
4. What are the teachings of the Qur’an? Respect, oneness to Allah SWT
and spiritual growth.
5. List in detail the divisions of the Qur’an and the arrangements of various
chapters. 114 chapters(surahs), and is arranged in descending order.
6. In whose time was the Qur’an documented in one book? Abu Bakar
7. Name the verses revealed at the beginning, middle and end (include the
dates of revelation) First: Surah-Al-Alaq, Middle: Al-Kahf, End:Surah-Al-
Baqarah
8. Explain the Makkan and Madinan surahs. Makkan surahs were revealed
when our prophet was visiting Makah, they teach tauhid and morality.
Whereas Madinan surahs were revealed when the prophet was visiting
medinah. Deals with social issues as well as guidance for muslim
community.
9. Explain the coherence of the Qur’an.
10.Name three scientific miracles of the Qur’an. Meteorology,
embryology,Astronomy
11.Give a detailed account of Ayayatul Qursi, Surah Al- Faatihah and Surah
Iklaas. (your answer must include its interpretation, hadiths that relate
to these chapters, its benefits, its’ themes, and its value)
12. List with the meaning the Attributes of Allah mentioned in the above-
mentioned chapters.
13.Name the other sacred books of Allah and to whom they were given.

14.Explain the Qur’an as a source of guidance in this world and the next. It’s
the word of Allah, he is the best of planners and tells us through his
messages to remember him and pray, because we will receive the
reward of the hereafter.
15.Explain why the Prophet ﷺused to stand in Prayer at long intervals at
night. He prayed to Allah to forgive everyone’s sins and he wanted a
deep connection with Allah, because of his love and dedication toward
Allah.
16.Explain ways we should show gratitude to Allah. Without Allah we are
nothing
