GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATE

1. Candidates must affix a recent passport-sized photograph and sign in the designated space if the printed photo is unclear.

2.The admit card is mandatory for entry. Candidates without a valid admit card will not be allowed to enter the examination centre.

3.Candidates are allowed to carry only the following items into the examination venue:

Printed admit card (A4 size, clearly visible).


Transparent ballpoint pen (black/blue ink).
Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml).
Transparent water bottle.
Proper face mask.
Note: Hand gloves are not permitted
4.Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria (qualification, age, etc.) as per the advertisement before appearing for the
exam.

5.Merely qualifying in the written exam does not confer any right to appointment unless all eligibility and selection conditions are met.

6.Appearing in the examination is purely provisional and does not guarantee selection. Ineligible candidates will be disqualified at any
stage.

7.The written exam will comprise of objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs).

8.Candidates must bring their own black/blue ballpoint pens for marking the OMR response sheet.
9.Candidates must carefully fill in the OMR sheet, including Roll No., Registration Number, Discipline Code, and Booklet Series. These
must exactly match the details in the admit card and question paper. No changes will be entertained later.
10. The Duration of the written exam is 1 hour 30 minutes.
11.Candidates must locate their examination centre in advance and report at least 30 minutes before the exam begins. Late entry
beyond 15 minutes after the start will not be permitted.
12.Candidates must appear only at the examination centre mentioned in their admit card.
13.No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall before the conclusion of the exam.
14.Before leaving the hall, candidates must hand over their Admit Card, Question Paper, and OMR response sheet to the invigilator.
Failure to do so will lead to cancellation of candidature and may result in legal action, including FIR.
15.Candidates must sign the attendance sheet against their own name only. Any discrepancy must be reported to the invigilator in
writing. No alterations in name are permitted on the admit card or attendance sheet.
16.Use of calculators, mobile phones, or any electronic gadgets, books, or unauthorized materials is strictly prohibited. Possession or
use of such items will lead to disqualification The OMR sheet will not be replaced in any circumstances.
17.No replacement of the OMR sheet will be allowed under any circumstances
18.Any candidate found using unfair means, violating instructions, or indulging in misconduct will be debarred from the examination.
19. Smoking, chewing tobacco/betel nut, or use of intoxicants is strictly prohibited. Intoxicated candidates or those engaging in unruly
behavior will be expelled and may face legal action. This Admit Card DOES NOT guarantee selection in any way. It is only an invitation for
the written examination.
20.Possession of the admit card does not guarantee selection; it only permits appearance in the written examination.
21.There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
22.On the day of the exam, all candidates must submit Annexure-1 (duly filled) along with self-attested copies of all required
documents/certificates/marksheets as listed in Annexure-1. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of candidature.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTION FOR PwBD/SCRIBE CANDIDATES
1. Candidates who have registered as visually impaired with benchmark disabilities or have benchmark hand/finger disabilities that
prevent them from writing may use a scribe.

2. Such candidates are permitted to bring their own scribe, subject to the following conditions:

The scribe must be less qualified than the candidate.


A declaration confirming the scribe’s eligibility must be jointly signed by both the candidate and the scribe, and submitted as
required.

3. PwBD candidates will be given an additional compensatory time of 30 minutes during the examination.

TRAVEL EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT FORM: ANNEXURE II


1. Travel expenses will not be reimbursed to candidates appearing for the written test, except outstation candidates belonging to the SC,
ST, Ex-Servicemen, and PwBD categories.
2. To be eligible for reimbursement, candidates from the above categories must:
a. Submit a self-attested copy of the relevant Caste/Tribe/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD certificate in the prescribed format (available on
the website).
b. Ex-Servicemen must also submit a copy of their Service Certificate.

3. Eligible reimbursement will be limited to Sleeper Class (to and fro) rail fare by the shortest route, based on the address mentioned in
the application. Reimbursement will be made only upon:
a. Submission of original journey tickets, and
b. A duly filled-in Travel Expense Reimbursement Form (Annexure II).

c. Photocopies of return journey tickets (self-attested) will be accepted.


d. In case of travel by a higher class, reimbursement will be restricted to Sleeper Class fare only.
e. Charges such as taxi fare, booking agency charges, etc., will not be reimbursed.

4. Candidates must carry a duly filled Travel Reimbursement Form (Annexure II) and ensure all details are correctly entered.
5. Reimbursements will be made only through bank transfer. It is the candidate’s responsibility to provide complete and accurate bank
details in the TA form.
6. Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd. shall not be held responsible for non-payment or non-receipt of reimbursement in case of incomplete or
incorrect information provided by the candidate.

The written examination will consist of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), divided into the following two sections:

Part 1: Functional Test


General Engineering and Subject-specific questions related to the candidate’s discipline.

Part 2: General Aptitude Test


Covers topics such as English Language, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, and Quantitative Aptitude.
