Subject: Directors General of Civil Aviation Programme on

Aviation Safety (Singapore, 10 and 11 July 2017)

Action required: Reply by 9 June 2017

Sir/Madam,

I have the honour to inform you that ICAO, in cooperation with the Singapore Aviation
Academy (SAA), will hold the Directors General of Civil Aviation (DGCAs) Programme on Aviation Safety in
Singapore, immediately prior to the 6th World Civil Aviation Chief Executives Forum (11 to 13 July 2017).
The two-day DGCAs Programme will take place on 10 and 11 July 2017, at the Singapore Aviation Academy.

This executive-level programme will provide Directors General and Senior Government
Officials with specific knowledge regarding the international civil aviation safety framework and its underlying
principles, as well as the development of a national aviation safety framework that supports civil aviation. The
knowledge will enable DGCAs to carry out their responsibilities to ensure the effective management of
aviation safety in their respective States. The programme outline is attached for your information.

All further information related to the programme, including the schedule, will be available
shortly on the Meetings page of the ICAO website (http://www.icao.int/Meetings/Pages/Home.aspx). You are
invited to visit the website periodically.

Directors General and Senior Government Officials wishing to attend the DGCAs Programme
on Aviation Safety should notify ICAO by e-mail at usoap@icao.int by 9 June 2017. As seating is limited to
25 participants, please send your notification as soon as possible. Since we anticipate high interest, first
preference will be given to DGCAs with fewer than two years of experience. ICAO will advise States selected
to participate accordingly. The programme will be conducted in English only, with documentation available in
other ICAO languages as required.

Accept, Sir/Madam, the assurances of my highest consideration.
