Do you agree that school violence becoming more and more
serious? What are the consequences and how to solve this problem?
A, B, C: introduce themselves
_______________________________________________
A: Hey! Did you watch the news yesterday?
B, C: Of course we did!
B: If I'm not wrong, it was about a girl who got bullied by a group of
grade 7 students
C: Yes! I remember it now! The reason for bullying her was so
ridiculous! I can’t understand what they were thinking about that time.
A: I know right? And also, I read the newspaper today, there was a
section which told us about the teacher who beat up her student!
C: Really!? School violence is getting more and more serious!
B: I agree, I think we should fix this problem as soon as possible
C: I was curious, what would happen to the victims who got school
violence?
A: Well, school violence was considered to be a public health problem,
so it must have some effects on the victim of violence’s health, the
victims are usually person who have done such embarrassed things in
front of a crowd, that is the most likely scenario, or the bully just know
it by accident, or because the victim has bad health problem, weird
appearance… they are all the reason.
B: Yes, so by the following things, the victims will catch illness, mental
problems, the scars from the violence in their heart, or their body, if
the victim is fragile, or has bad health, this will get even worse.
C: That seems to be extra serious.
A:It is!
C: And I think, when the person who bullied the other, they may have
been through things and can’t control themselves by doing the action
to chill and be satisfied. When the victims of their school violence were
found dead and the cause of their cases is school violence, the person
who got involved will have to take legal responsibility.
B: If I know someone who got bullied at school, I would raise a hand
and help them. Their parents would be so sad if their kids gave up on
their life. That was a tragedy and no one deserve that
A: True, so what do you think we could do to stop school violence?
B: As for that, I think we should adopt Physical Security Measures. A
common way to reduce violence in schools is to implement stronger
security measures, such as surveillance cameras, security systems,
campus guards and metal detectors. Furthermore, the school should
also organize Training Programs for school personnel to improve school
safety, create a safe, understanding school environment through
education and training programs.
C: That’s right, not only that, we should implement policies designed to
prevent violence, they can improve school safety through deterrence,
zero-tolerance policies will punish those who perpetrate violence and
deter students from behaving violently, and also through fostering an
inclusive, safe environment, for students, adopt policies outlining
school-wide behavioral expectations that stress positive values such as
inclusion, communication and respect. And for the staff, adopt policies
outlining the teacher’s role in preventing violence
A: That is some useful information! I think I have learnt a lot from you
guys!
All: Thank you all for your listening!
