So let’s get it started with this fall pullover project!
Should a fall top be cropped? Who, knows, I’m just here for the crochet sweaters
patterns! I love a good crochet pullover sweater, so I’m kicking fall pattern
season off with this gorgeous fall pullover.
Summer is always a fun time to experiment with playful ideas and projects like
shorts and beach cover ups, but when fall comes around, it feels like crochet’s
time to really shine with warm winter clothes.

It’s getting chilly here, but not quite cold enough for one of my heavier crochet
sweaters patterns. So this calls for something a little lighter. Something you can
slip on and off over another layer if need be.
So, this fall crochet pullover sweater design just felt right to make.
It was actually a short sleeve pullover top at first, but I was quickly inspired to
add sleeves to it and viola! The fall pullover is born. The crop is optional too, so
be sure to read the instructions before you begin if you’d like a longer top.

I know it isn’t fall everywhere, so feel free to make the crochet pullover sweater
project with short sleeves instead. I’ve included instructions on how to do so.
Some of my favorite crochet sweaters patterns I’ve designed were early on, and I
didn’t make a free pattern for them.
I’m trying to remedy that now with all the current ones having a free version up to
XXL. Some of the old ones are only available for sale in the ad free PDF.
That being said, the patterns are very affordable and I have a lot of coupons

In this picture I have demonstrated with size Small
This top is worked in one piece from the top down. We’ll start with the yoke
and then separate the sleeves and continue crocheting with the body. (The
long sleeves can be added after the body is complete)
Yarn needed:
Short sleeve version = 370( 440, 500, 560, 620, 680 ) yards
Long sleeve version = 680( 730, 780, 830, 880, 930 ) yards
Gauge blocked: 16 hdc X 9 rows = 4″

st around. Total of 154( 182, 210, 238, 266, 294 ) hdc
For the last st of round 33( 33, 35, 37, 39, 41 ), I made a sc instead of hdc (for a
smoother finish) then cut the yarn and weave the ends.
*This is designed to be cropped, however; If you’d like a shorter top, just make
less rounds. If you’d like a longer top or even a dress, just keep making more
rounds to your desired length
If you’d like to make a short sleeve version, just weave all the ends and you’re
done!
If you’d like to make a long sleeve version, just keep on going with the pattern
below.
Sleeve
Note: Make sure to place the stitch marker into the first stitch in each round
Round 1: Add new yarn into the armpit corner then ch 1 (do not count as a st), 2
hdc into the same corner sp, 1 hdc into each st until you reach the other corner, 2
hdc to the corner sp, 1 hdc into each st around. Total of 54( 57, 60, 63, 66, 69 )

Round 2 – Round 37: 1 hdc into each st around. Total of 54( 57, 60, 63, 66, 69 )

For the last st of round 37, I made a sc instead of hdc (for a smoother finish) then
cut the yarn and weave all the ends.

*For the sleeves, all the sizes are the same length. If you want a shorter sleeve,
just make less rounds. If you want a longer sleeve, just make more rounds to the
desired length.
