Needle Sculpting (for safety eyes):
Make a needle sculpting focusing on the photo. Take a long strong thread. In this
case, I used the same thread with which I crocheted the doll. Insert the needle as
close to the eyes as possible.
Points 5 and 6 are located between the 34th and 35th rounds of the head, at a
distance of 1 sc.
Insert the needle into point 5 and exit it through point 1. Then insert the needle into
point 2 and exit it through point 6. Now pull the second eye. Insert the needle into
point 5 and exit it through point 3. Next, insert it into point 4 and exit it through
point 6. Pull the threads very carefully, trying to tighten the eyes evenly and not too
much. Tie a knot and hide it inside the head.
-14-
Embroider the nose:
Mark 2 points with pins, they are located between rounds 20 and 21 of the head,
the distance between the points is 3sc. Make two stitches with skin color thread
from one pin to the other.
Using a needle, wrap these stitches with the same thread.
-15-
Ears:
Make 2 in skin color, hook size 1.5 mm.
Leave a long yarn end at the beginning, it will be used to sew the ears to the head.
1Rnd: 1sc, 1hdc, 2dc, 1hdc, 1sc in a MR (6)
Cut the yarn, leaving a long end for sewing pieces.
Sew on the ears:
Mark 2 points with pins: the upper edge is between rounds 20 and 21 of the head,
the lower one is between rounds 22 and 23. From the edge of the eye 8sc.
Sew the ears to the head.
Face Decoration (for safety eyes):
Using a white thread, make stitches from the outside of the eyes. Embroider
lashes above the eyes with a black thread. Embroider eyebrows with a brown
thread. Exit white, brown and black threads through the opening in the head.
-16-
Face Decoration (for embroidered eyes):
Use a pin to mark the central point on the head, it is located between rounds 20 and
21 (see photo). From this central point, count 3sc in each direction (points 1 and 2),
mark with pins - these will be the lower edges of the inner sides of the eyes. In total,
there should be 6sc between points 1 and 2. Next, from points 1 and 2 count 11sc
in each direction, these will be the upper edges of the ears, they are also located at
the level of rounds 20 and 21. The lower edge of the ears is located between
rounds 22 and 23 of the head (see photo). Sew the ears to the head.
