FRUITS

This book is a guide to Treants´ fruits,

e
introducing this concept in an original way and
addressing the fantastic properties they can
provide to those who consume them.

Concept origin

Treants are intelligent, mobile trees, also

called awakened trees. With faces on their trunks,
using their roots as feet and their branches as
arms, and with foliage resembling the hair of ae
humanoid being, these beings have been part of
the Dungeons & Dragons universe since its
earliest editions, inspired by fantasy literature.
While not all trees bear edible fruits,
pl
many of them provide a wide variety of fruits.
Moreover, since Treants can represent the living
version of any type of tree, as well as awaken
ordinary trees, this means that fruit-bearing
Treants are not that rare.
This detail, however, has never been

addressed in depth in the D&D rules or lore. The

only mention of Treant fruit in published D&D
material is in an Unearthed Arcana article.
However, this article only mentions Treants´
fruits as ranged weapons, without delving into
further details or any properties these fruits might
grant if consumed. Other than that, the 2025
Sa

Monster Manual, in its description of Treants,

mentions the possibility of them producing
magical fruits, but does not offer any additional
details about the concept.
Since Treants are mystical beings, it is
natural to imagine that the fruits they produce
might also exhibit special characteristics.
Based on this thought, the concept for this
book took shape, aiming to present various types
of fruits, originating from different types of
Treants, each with its own characteristics and
effects, and consequently providing new options
