NIT Raipur celebrated World Environment Day on 5th Jun.
2025. A pledge and prize distribution ceremony was Lab

Entrepreneurship (NITRRFIE), in collaboration with
the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE,
hosted a five-day Faculty Development Program
(FDP) on Innovation and Entrepreneurship from 17ᵗʰ Mar.
2025 to 21ˢᵗ Mar. 2025. The program aimed to cultivate
entrepreneurial mindsets among 50 educators, incubation
managers, and startup founders from Chhattisgarh, equipping
them with skills to mentor student ventures and drive
institutional innovation.

• Dr. D.C. Jhariya, Associate Professor, DAG, NIT Raipur has been recognized among the top 0.5% scholars worldwide,
according to 2024 ScholarGPS rankings. He was also honored with the Best Faculty Award 2024 by NIT Raipur. His
consultancy for a GIS-based Water Conservation Plan in Dhamtari district secured the Prime Minister’s Excellence Award
2023 in the Innovation category.

• Dr. Bhargavi Rani Anne, Assistant Professor, MME, has published a research paper titled Activation Enthalpy for Yielding
in Fully-Lamellar Ti-6Al-4V. The paper was published in Materials Transactions. This work, co-authored with T.
Morikawa, S. Yamasaki, and M. Tanaka, explores the mechanical behaviour of titanium alloys and provides insights into the
activation enthalpy associated with plastic deformation. She has also published research titled Rapid Outgassing of
Hydrophilic TiO₂ Electrodes Achieves Long-Term Stability of Anion Exchange Membrane Water Electrolyzers. The article
was published in Nano-Micro Letters. This study presents a novel strategy to enhance the long-term performance of
electrolyzers for green hydrogen production through rapid gas removal from hydrophilic electrodes.
