Dear Students,

Kindly receive the attached books and do the following task:


Individually, ready:
1) the history and evolution of Psychology
2) different perspectives (humanistic, cognitive and behavioural, psychoanalytic, neurobiology)
in psychology and how they explain human behavior
3) the goals of psychology
4) relationship between psychology and other sciences/domains

In groups, read and summarise the following topics in psychology :


1) The brain /nervous system- human endocrine and human behavior
2) Mental process and human behavior:
a) Sensation and perception
b) motivation
c) emotion
d) learning
e) intelligence
f) cognition and language
g) attention and attitude
h) consciousness

3) Research in psychology

4) Theories of personality: determinants of personality; different perspectives (humanistic,


psychodynamic, cognitive and behavioural, traits) and how they explain the personality;
assessment of the personality; personality disorders.
5) stress versus burnout and how to manage them
6) Psychosexual stages of development; Psychosocial stages of development, Piaget's stages of
development

Note:
- each class/promotion will form its own groups and each group will work on the specific topics.
- The group work will include the cover page indicating the topic, group members and their Reg
nmbers, table of content, development in different tittles and subtitles, conclusion, and
references
- the marking of the group work will be based on the form, content, and number of the pages
- the group work must be written in word, Times new roman, interline 1.5
- you can use other sources of information /books in addition to what I have shared
- to be submitted on Tuesday 15th April 2025, not later than 23h59
- each class /promotion will submit the group works to the class representative, who will send to
me the group works in a zipped format; meaning that I will receive 4 zipped docs from 4
classes/promotions.
