Performance Task No.

1: Future Tech Skit


Objective:
To creatively envision future technologies and demonstrate their possible impact on society and everyday life.

Instructions
1. Form Your Group (10-11 members)
o Work with your assigned groupmates. Collaboration and teamwork are required for this task.
2. Create a Skit / Scenario
o Imagine a new innovation or technology that may exist 10–20 years from now.
o Your skit should show how the technology works and present its potential effects (positive
or negative) on individuals, communities, or society as a whole.
o Be imaginative but also realistic—ground your idea in how technology might truly develop.
3. Perform Your Skit
o Present your scenario to the class through a live performance.
o Use props, gestures, or simple costumes if necessary to enhance clarity and creativity.
o Every member must have a speaking role or meaningful participation.
4. Explain Your Concept
o After your skit, provide a short explanation (1–2 minutes) covering:
▪ How your group came up with the idea
▪ Why you believe this technology will be significant in the future
o Make sure your explanation connects the skit to real-world possibilities.
5. Time Limit
o Total presentation (skit + explanation) must be 4–5 minutes only. Exceeding or falling short of
the time limit will affect your grade.
6. Submit Your Script
o Write a clear and organized script of your skit.
o Submit your script on Thursday, September 4, 2025 for grading (included in the rubric).
7. Date of Performance
o The skit performance will be on Tuesday, September 9.

Reminders:
✔ Be creative, original, and engaging.
✔ Ensure that your presentation is school-appropriate.
✔ Practice beforehand to manage time properly.
✔ Focus on showing both the functionality and impact of the technology.
