To make the students aware of the basic structure of Indian constitution, the theoretical and functional
framework of the Indian parliament, and to produce socially responsible citizens completely utilizing
their fundamental and legal rights.

Meaning of the Constitution law and Constitutionalism- Preamble of Indian Constitution- Salient
Features of Indian Constitution- Structure of the Constitution (Parts, Articles, Schedules, Amendments)-
Role of the Constituent Assembly-Citizenship- Article 12 & 13- Fundamental Rights and its restrictions
and limitations- Fundamental Duties and its scope and significance in Nation building- Directive
Principles of State Policy (DPSP) and its present relevance in Indian Soceity.
