The Immigration Crew
Hridhaan Jain: Greetings, today I Hridhaan Jain, and my team will take you back
in time and narrate a story of our divine motherland, India. India has been
welcoming for some and a discovery for all. From mountains to deserts, plains
to plateaus, jungles to beaches, India has it all. This tale is about the 4 mass
immigration of India and how India was a discovery from the perspective of all.
Reyansh Maheshwari: The first mass immigration happened about 65,000
years ago when people migrated out of Africa into India. These people were
known as the First Indians. Their closest modern-day relatives are the
Andamanese tribes.
Akul Sharma: The second mass immigration occurred around 9,000 years ago.
In this stage West Iranians migrated to modern-day India and Pakistan to
escape prosecution. The West Iranians and the First Indians together began the
Indus Valley Civilisation.
Dharshan M: Around 4000 years ago, after the fall of the Indus Valley
Civilisation, Aryans from modern-day Russia, Ukraine and Kajakistan migrated
to India. Some of the survivors of the Harrapan civilisation went south and
bred with the First Indians making the Ancestral South Indians (ASI). The
Aryans bred with the remaining Harrapans and formed the Ancestral North
Indians (ANI).
Samman Dixit: 4,000 years ago, people from Myanmar and Cambodia migrated
to India and settled down in Oddisha.
Advit Arya: With that we come to the end of our tale. Hope you enjoyed it!
