Inspection Report – CAT 120K2 Motor Grader

Company Name ICPS Engineering Private Limited, Faridabad

Customer Name R&C Infraengineering

Site Location Noida Site

Date of Inspection 18-09-2025

Inspector Name / Designation Service Engineer, Ankam Singh

1. General Observation
The machine shows signs of heavy usage with multiple oil leakages, worn joints, and structural
wear. Preventive maintenance and corrective action are strongly recommended to avoid further
breakdowns.

2. Component-Wise Findings

Final Drive / Tandem Housing

Observation: Oil leakage visible at tandem/final drive joint area. Bolts and seals show signs of
wear. Possible contamination with dust/dirt.
Recommendation: Inspect tandem seals, replace oil seals & gaskets, and refill with recommended
CAT oil. Torque bolts to OEM specifications.

Engine Compartment – Turbo Oil Line

Observation: Heavy oil leakage at turbo oil return/supply line. Accumulation of dirt and oil-soaked
surface indicates long-term leakage.
Recommendation: Replace damaged oil line and seals immediately. Clean engine compartment
thoroughly to monitor future leakage.

Blade Circle / Frame

Observation: Wear and rust visible on the blade circle/frame support area. Weld joints and metal
surface show signs of fatigue.
Recommendation: Recondition blade circle support. Clean rust, apply anti-rust treatment, and
repaint. Check for cracks and perform welding repair if required.

Tandem / Differential Housing

Observation: Cracks and oil seepage visible around housing cover bolts.
Recommendation: Replace sealing components. Perform NDT (Non-Destructive Test) to rule out
deeper cracks.
Engine Auxiliary Components
Observation: Oil misting and seepage around auxiliary drive components. Condition of hoses
appears aged.
Recommendation: Replace worn-out hoses and gaskets. Inspect breather system to avoid
excessive crankcase pressure.

3. Summary of Critical Issues

1. Oil leakage at engine turbo oil line – requires urgent attention.
2. Tandem/final drive area oil leakage and cracks – may lead to component failure.
3. Blade circle structural rust and wear – preventive maintenance required.
4. General condition suggests delayed preventive maintenance schedule.

4. Recommendations
- Immediate replacement of leaking hoses, oil lines, and seals.
- Complete lubrication service.
- Preventive maintenance schedule to be restored to OEM standards.
- Post-repair functional test to verify performance.
