I guess both are equally important, which means in listening we learn, and in speaking we
transform. However, in order to become an effective communicator, the first step is to
practice active listening. Being a good listener will allow us to be more receptive to fresh

understand the audience and discover the best way to tailor our message to their needs and

3. Will Vietnamese people feel nervous when it comes to public speaking?
I am firmly convinced that people across the globe, youngsters and adults alike, all feel
paralyzed by the fear and anxiety of public speaking. However, it seems to me that this
phobia is more intense among Vietnamese young people. It may be attributable to the fact
that at school, students tend to mainly focus on absorbing theoretical knowledge instead
of engaging in oral presentations, discussions and debates, making them dread having to
express themselves and deliver a message in front of a crowd.

Well , I have to say that it is really depend on their environment. I mean if a youngster
have more opportunities to practice their speaking skill, he or she will be no longer suffer
from the feeling of paralyzed . otherwised, it would be a phobia with people across the
