Why did man

?invented god
By – Daria Rut
Tikolsker
My project speaks about man most primal basic deasires, and how those
.desires express themselves in our modern society

and man most aicent, consistent realationship – with god. Wich in a way
.is also the relationship between him and his existents

Ever since the October 7th. Ive been constenetlly thinking about the pros
.and cons of realigios bellifs

Are they pushing us awey from our nature? from acting humane? Or are
?they the perfect excuse for our primitive urges

I felt that by writing this project I found myself feeling less angry towards
humanity. Getting more soft and understandable, seeing humens more as
.a specie then a society

Wich in a way is a very comforting thought, really makes you understand

that we aren’t so different after all. we are all chronically ashamed and
constentlly looking for a motherly figure. All while wiping our butts and
.digging our nose

?and the fact that we are all in this thogeter somehow makes it – better

.Maybe this is what being religious feels like .

!Anyway – ENJOY
Alltoght we as a species are putting our best efforts to deavide ourself s
a part from our nature, we still as all animels are – submissived to our
survival instincts, and primeval lust. In my opinion no matter how much
we will try to hide it,by taking a brief look at our everyday realationsheps
those primeval desaiers are easy to spot on. and what realationshup
could be a bettar example then the most chaotic but peacefull, etarnel
and passing, clamorous and secluded. The most complex and
argumentall conacttion, yet so simple even a five year old can
.understand it

The realationship bettwen men and god

In this pheragraph we are going to dig into this realationship, wich will .
also indirectly provide us an interesting glimps into the brain of the
– mankind and his true radicall desaiers. So lets start by asking

?Why did men invented god

The first most general reason is that men invented god for the sake of
explanation of the unknown, and a promised destination for our never
.ending chase for meaning

As a species we were blessed\cursed with the sensation of time, death,

relationships, and change — and that awareness constentlly pushes us
.to ask why things happen and what they mean

The bellif in god – as expreassed in orthodox socaietis (wich are not

hard to find) creates a simple accessible equation to easily answer those
:questions
When a believing Christian experienced a dramatic event in 1200, how "
would they know what the event meant? They would ask the priest. And
how would the priest know? The priest gave meaning to the event based
on the command of Almighty God. One event was a grave sin, another
an act of blessed grace. One event was a miracle, another a temptation
from Satan. It didn't matter much how the person himself felt about the
event." – as professor Yuval noach hararri (a writer/philossafer) tend to
.deascribe

Instead of "listening to your gut"\"finding your iner voice" – like The

twenty-first century realigios incorege us to do. By adjusting our Moral
dilemmas according to a one men values and bellifs (god) , we fllatten
the dialectics, complex reality of the world we live in. castrate it from
.passion and emotain. And in a way – makeing it easier for us to live in

when I said that men created god to cope with the mysteries unknown.
.i also refaired to the unknown of his own mind

we often are unmanaged to objectivlly thinking when it comes to our

own lifes, to take a look in the mirror and truly understand what were
.seeing

and the idea\ bellif of being called a - :"creation" instead of biological a

coincidence. and not only that men is a creation but "a creation that was
made in god image. "this euphorically bellif gives us as a species enough
self confidence to compensate for our one and only - self awareness,
.which is practically a Self-destruct button
And from a less emotional – more biological point of view – humans are
a socialist animal. and Despite the fact that as a society we are growing a
part from each other, becoming more dependent on technology then we
are on each other. in a way, religious' and the presence of god in our life
is keeping us booth together and a part as a society. And by that
.imposing on two of our primeval needs

One – climbing up the food chain. In nature the frog eats the worm -
the bird eats the frog – the crocodile eats the bird and the lists go on.
But humans today are no longer part of this circle of life. And only
consume never being consumed. There is no ruff over our head for us to
break. Nobody is trying to eat us – so we slowly eat ourselves. Trying to
climb up the the food chain so far until we are no longer an animal but
closer to a god. denying our primeval lust – the need for warmth and
closeness. numbing our survival instincts – replacing them with
theoretical, intellectual, over calculated, restrained way of life. The
presence of god is giving us a sense of superiority. An outcome of our
.self-consciousness which no other animal has

.And a sense of control over the Uncertainty of nature

The other primal symptom that god and religious trigger us – is the
complete opposite which is community and a grounding senssaision. In
today's culture it is very rare for people to get together as easily as they
do under religious circumstances. Shared belief in gods helped people
form larger, more cooperative groups by agreeing on moral rules ("don't
steal," "don't kill," etc.) that were enforced not just by leaders, fellas
sinners and human beings which are on an eye level to me, but by a
. divine immortal creature
Some believe that the image of God in the human soul is shaped by
parental figures – most often the father symbolizes law, authority and
boundaries, while the mother represents compassion, warmth and
.security

Therefore: A person may turn to God “as a mother” in moments of

.pain, seeking warmth

In todays unlimited reality, where everything is in touching distance. It is

. very easy to get confused, overwhelmed and easily unsettisfaid

So We often find ourselfs unconsciously looking for boundaries, for

shields to hide behind, for any taboos or holy cows that have yet to be
.slaughter

We design god as the ultimate mother figure - giving us unconditional

love, not earned, but given. Allweys presen- watching and nourishing.
And most of all giving us resureness. Devaiding our world into god and
bad, limiting the unlimited, creating tension in fields that were already
.plow long ago

.Anticipation is the sweetest form of torture

So in

By writing this project ive had to become a slightly of a believer

I feel like growing up in isreal and managing to completely deny .
yourself from stigmas and prejudice is almost impossible. And by
this project forced me to disconnect the concept of religious from
the religious people I have came across. Which was refreshing,
and granted me a new perspective on all kind of subjects which in
.till now felt so distant and absorb
I am also a big fan of professor Yuval Noah Harari, he is one of the
most acssebell and relavent new wave philossafors in my
opinion . and I was very moved by some of his new books and
.materials into writing this project
I feel like ive went into this writing project pretty open minded
and came out even more. Ive allweys seen a spaciel magic in
judiesim and spirituality, but now I also understand the logic
.behind it
I do alltoght hope that this project has helped with my spealing
.problems
.But I doubt that
