IIT Delhi Proxy Setup
This tutorial will help you in setting up the proxy on your lab desktop systems that will allow you to
access the internet. Note that these steps are required for any system that you will be connecting to
the IITD LAN network for accessing the internet.
1. Open Firefox browser on your desktop.
2. Click the menu button and select Settings.
3. In the settings page, you will find a search bar. Search for proxy, you will see the following
window.
4. Click on the Manage button under Network Settings.
5. You will see the following menu:
6. Select the “Automatic proxy configuration URL” radio button. The text box will be activated
as shown in the figure above. Enter the following URL:
a. If you are a B.Tech student: http://www.cc.iitd.ac.in/cgi-bin/proxy.btech
b. If you are a Dual Degree Student: http://www.cc.iitd.ac.in/cgi-bin/proxy.dual
7. Click on OK button at the bottom right corner. This will save your proxy settings to fetch
proxy configuration from the IITD proxy server.
8. Now open a new tab on Firefox and goto the following address:
a. If you are a B.Tech student: https://proxy22.iitd.ac.in/cgi-bin/proxy.cgi
b. If you are a Dual Degree student: https://proxy62.iitd.ac.in/cgi-bin/proxy.cgi
9. The proxy login page will open up: Go ahead and enter your Kerberos credentials to login.
10. Check you internet connectivity by opening any website.
