A SCIENCE CREATION COMPETITION

Last month, there was a competition to make new things in my school. It is done
every year by different clubs. This year, the competition was carried out by the
Science Club. Last year, it was the STEM Club.

Classes that were interested to take part needed to tell Mrs. Wong by 15 June.
The competition was held on 25 June at the library. At first, it was supposed to be
at the ICT room. The winners of the competition were decided by Miss Hafni and
Mr. Hoe, the school science teachers.

Prizes were given away on 28 June in the school hall. The first prize went to
Form 3 Dahlia that came up with a grass cutting machine. The second prize was
won by Form 4 Mawar with their home air cooler while Form 5 Kemboja received
the third prize. They made a vegetable shampoo.

The first prize winner received RM1,500. The second was given RM1,300 while
the third RM1,100. All the winners received a certificate too. They received their
cash and certificates from Mr. Param who was brought to the stage by Ms. Janice,
the Head of the Science Department. The competition was a success.

TRACK AND FIELD

Track and field is a sport that consists of running, jumping and throwing events.
It is mostly held by schools as part of the annual sports day.
