ضَه ْونًاَ ََّوَاِذاَخاطبهمََا ْل ٰج ِهل ْونََقال ْواَس ٰل ًما َ َنَالَّ َِذَْینََیَ ْمش ْونََعل
َ ِ یَ ْاْل ْر َِ ٰالرحْ م
َّ ََوََ ِعباد
َ)63َ:َ25َ،(ا ْلف ْرقان
Translation:
And the (favourite) servants of the Most Kind (Lord) are those who walk
gently on the earth, and when the ignorant (i.e., impolite) people say to
them something (unlikable), they (get aside), saying: ‘Peace.’

individuals, the servants of the Most Merciful respond with peace and
kindness. They don’t engage in arguments, hostility, or harsh words.
Instead, they maintain their composure and seek peaceful resolution.
➢ This verse teaches believers the importance of humility,
patience, and peaceful communication when faced with
ignorance or hostility. It encourages them to respond to
negativity with positivity and to embody the qualities of
mercy and patience in their interactions with others, in line
with the teachings of Islam.
وََالَّ َِذَْینََیَبََِْیت ْونََ ِلربِ ِه َْمَس َّجدًاَ ََّوَقَِیَا ًما
َ)64َ:َ25َ,(ا ْلف ْرقان
Translation:
And (these) are the ones who spend their nights prostrating themselves
and standing before their Lord (cloaked in submissiveness).

relationship.
Spiritual Rejuvenation: Night prayers, including prostration and
standing, are moments of self-reflection, repentance, and seeking
forgiveness. They offer a chance for spiritual rejuvenation, self-
improvement, and seeking Allah’s guidance and mercy.

engaging in night prayers, which is a sign of a believer’s

encourages Muslims to allocate a portion of the night for
sincere worship, emphasizing the importance of maintaining
a strong connection with Allah through prayer and
prostration during these blessed hours.
غ َرا ًم ۗا ۖۗ
َ َعذَا َبهَا كَان َ َعذ
َ َّاب َج َهنَّ َم ۗۖۗ اِن َ عنَّا ْ َو الَّ ِذ ْینَ َیقُ ْولُ ْونَ َر َّبنَا اص ِْر
َ ف
)65 : 25 ,(ا ْلفُ ْرقَان
Translation:
And (these) are the people who pray (all the time before the presence of
Allah): ‘O our Lord, turn away from us the torment of Hell. Surely, its
torment is most injurious (and everlasting).

recognizing the gravity of Hellfire and seeking Allah’s
protection from it. It encourages believers to turn to Allah in
sincere supplication, acknowledging their need for His mercy
and guidance, and demonstrating their fear and reverence

ستَقَ ًّرا َّو ُمقَا ًما َ اِنَّهَا
ْ سا ٓ َءتْ ُم
)66 : 25 ,(ا ْلفُ ْرقَان
Translation:
Surely, that is an evil lodging (for temporary lodgers) and an evil abode
(for permanent dwellers).’
Explanation:
This verse is a continuation of the description of the punishment in
Hellfire. It characterizes Hellfire as a place of extreme suffering and a
dreadful abode. Here’s an explanation:
Harsh Description of Hellfire: The verse emphasizes the severity of
Hellfire by describing it as “an evil settlement and residence.” This
description conveys the idea that Hell is a terrible place to be, both as a
destination and a long-term dwelling.
Warning and Reminder: This verse serves as a stark warning to those
who reject faith or engage in sinful behavior without repentance. It
reminds them of the dire consequences of their actions in the
Hereafter.
Moral and Spiritual Guidance: In the broader context of the Quran,
verses like this one are meant to provide moral and spiritual guidance.
They encourage believers to lead righteous lives and avoid sinful
behaviors to safeguard themselves from the torment of Hellfire.
➢ In summary, Surah Al-Furqan, verse 66, serves as a sobering
reminder of the severe consequences that await those who
engage in evil and persist in sinful actions. It underscores the
importance of living a righteous and virtuous life and seeking
Allah’s mercy and forgiveness to avoid the torment of Hell in
the Hereafter.
س ِرفُ ْوا َو لَ ْم یَ ْقت ُ ُر ْوا َو كَانَ بَ ْینَ ٰذ ِلكَ قَ َوا ًما
ْ َُو الَّ ِذ ْینَ اِذَ ۤا ا َ ْنفَقُ ْوا لَ ْم ی
)67 : 25 ,(ا ْلفُ ْرقَان
Translation:
And (these) are the people who are neither extravagant nor miserly
when they spend. And their spending is (based on) a balance between
the two extremes (of extravagance and miserliness).
Explanation:
God’s true servants lead a balanced life that is exemplary in its
seriousness and moderation. Balance is the distinctive feature that
Islam establishes in the life of the individual and the community. Its
achievement is what Islam aims for through educating its followers and
through its legal system. Its whole structure is based on balance and
moderation.
Although Islam approves private ownership, a Muslim is not free to
spend his money without restriction, as is the case in the capitalist
system and in communities which do not conduct their lives in
accordance with divine law. A Muslim is required to strike a balance
between extravagance and miserliness. Both attitudes are bad for the
individual, society and for money itself. Indeed, a miser not only
deprives himself of the benefits of his money, but also deprives the
community of the benefits of keeping money in circulation. Indeed
money is meant to provide services for the community. Both extremes
of overspending and withholding money produce social and economic
imbalance, leading to crises, in addition to their unhealthy effect on
people’s hearts and ethics.
As Islam regulates this aspect of human life, it begins with the
individual, making the adoption of a balanced approach in life a feature
of faith. Thus, whenever true servants of God, the Most Merciful, put
their money to use, they “are neither wasteful nor niggardly, but
always maintain a just mean between the two.”
ق َو ََل یَ ْزنُ ْونَ ۚ َو ِ ّٰللا ا ََِّل بِا ْل َح َ ّٰللا ا ِٰل ًها ٰا َخ َر َو ََل یَ ْقتُلُ ْونَ النَّ ْف
ُ س الَّتِ ْی ح ََّر َم ه ِ َو الَّ ِذ ْینَ ََل یَ ْدع ُْونَ َم َع ه
ق اَثَا ًما َ َم ْن یَّ ْفعَ ْل ٰذ ِلكَ یَ ْل
)68 : 25 ,(ا ْلفُ ْرقَان
Translation:
And these are the people who do not worship any other god apart from
Allah, nor do they kill the soul whose killing without any lawful cause
Allah has forbidden, nor do they commit adultery. And whoever does
this will receive the punishment due for the sin.

This verse emphasizes several important principles in Islam:
Monotheism (Touheed): It reaffirms the belief in the oneness of Allah
Almighty ,emphasizing that there should be no association of partners
with Allah in worship.
Prohibition of Murder: It forbids the unjust taking of life. Killing is only
permissible in Islam in cases of self-defense or through legal means,
such as in the case of a prescribed punishment for a severe crime.
Prohibition of Adultery: It emphasizes the prohibition of unlawful
sexual relations outside of marriage.
Warning of Punishment: The verse warns that those who engage in
polytheism (associating partners with Allah), murder, or adultery will
face punishment.
➢ In essence, this verse serves as a reminder of the ethical and
moral guidelines in Islam, promoting monotheism, respect
for human life, and the sanctity of the family institution
while warning against actions that go against these
principles.
اب یَ ْو َم ا ْل ِق ٰی َم ِة َو یَ ْخلُ ْد فِی ْٖه ُمهَانً ۗا ۖۗ
ُ َف لَهُ ا ْلعَذ ٰ ُّی
ْ َضع
)69 : 25 ,(ا ْلفُ ْرقَان
Translation:
His punishment will be doubled on the Day of Rising and, disgraced and
humiliated, he will live in it forever.
Explanation:
This verse continues from the previous one and serves as a warning of
the severe consequences for those who engage in polytheism
(associating partners with Allah), murder, or adultery. Which means
that those who engage in polytheism, murder or adultery will strictly be
punished on the Day of Judgement and they will not be able to escape
from the punishment.
َ ّٰللا
غفُ ْو ًرا ٍ س ٰن
َ سیِ ٰاتِ ِه ْم َح ٓ ٰ ُ ع َم ًًل صَا ِل ًحا فَا
َ اب َو ٰا َمنَ َو ع َِم َل
َ َ ا ََِّل َم ْن ت
ُ ت ؕ َو كَانَ ه ُ ولىِٕكَ یُبَ ِد ُل ه
َ ّٰللا
َّر ِح ْی ًما
)70 : 25 ,(ا ْلفُ ْرقَان
Translation:
But whoever repents and believes and does good deeds, so these are
the people whose evil deeds Allah will change into good ones. And Allah
is Most Forgiving, Ever-Merciful.
Explanation:
This verse is a message of hope and redemption from Allah Almighty .It
highlights several key points:
Repentance: Allah is merciful and forgiving, and He encourages people
to turn to Him in sincere repentance when they have committed sins.
Faith (Iman): Alongside repentance, belief in Allah and His guidance is
crucial. True repentance should be accompanied by a genuine belief in
Him.
Righteous Deeds (Amal Salih): Repentance and faith should translate
into righteous actions. Believers are encouraged to perform good deeds
and live a virtuous life.
Divine Forgiveness: The verse reassures that for those who genuinely
repent, believe, and do good deeds, Allah will replace their previous
sins with good deeds. This is a demonstration of Allah’s immense mercy
and forgiveness.
➢ In summary, Surah Al-Furqan, verse 69 conveys the concept
of repentance, faith, and good deeds leading to Allah’s
forgiveness and His willingness to replace one’s sins with
acts of righteousness. It serves as an encouragement for
individuals to seek Allah’s mercy through sincere repentance
and a life dedicated to goodness.
ّٰللا َمتَا ًبا ُ اب َو ع َِم َل صَا ِل ًحا فَ ِانَّ ٗه َیت ُْو
ِ ب اِلَی ه َ َ َو َم ْن ت
)71 : 25 ,(ا ْلفُ ْرقَان
Translation:
And whoever repents and executes good, so he returns to Allah (the
way) returning is due.
Explanation:
This verse has two meanings:
1.When he has repented sincerely, he will start a new life of belief and
obedience to Allah and by His grace and help will start doing good
deeds instead of evil deeds that he used to do in his life of unbelief, and
his evil deeds will be replaced by good deeds.
2.Not only will his evil deeds done in the past be written off, but it will
also be recorded in his conduct register that he was the servant who
gave up rebellion against his Lord and adopted the way of His
obedience. Then, as he will feel more and more sorry for his past sins
and offer repentance, more and more good deeds will be credited to
him. For repenting of one’s wrong doing and seeking forgiveness is in
itself a good deed. Thus, good deeds will supersede all his evil deeds in
his conduct register, and he will not only escape punishment in the
Hereafter but, in addition, he will also be blessed with high favors by
Allah.
That is, ultimately everyone has to return to Allah for Allah alone is
man’s last and real refuge. He alone can reward him for his good deeds
or punish him for his evil deeds. He alone is All-Merciful and All
Compassionate, Who receives the penitent with forgiveness and Who
does not rebuke him for his past errors provided that he has repented
sincerely, and adopted the right attitude and reformed himself.
الز ْو َر َو اِذَا َم ُّر ْوا بِاللَّ ْغ ِو َم ُّر ْوا ِك َرا ًما ْ ََو الَّ ِذ ْینَ ََل ی
ُّ َش َهد ُْون
)72 : 25 ,(ا ْلفُ ْرقَان
Translation:
And these are the people who do not attend (both verbally and
practically) the false and untruthful matters, and when they pass by evil
activities, they pass on (observing caution) with utmost nobility and
dignity.
Explanation :
This verse encourages believers to maintain their integrity by not
bearing false witness or participating in falsehood. It also advises them
to avoid getting involved in sinful or inappropriate behavior and to
respond with dignity if they encounter such actions. Essentially, it
promotes truthfulness, righteousness, and moral conduct in the lives of
believers.
ُ علَ ْیهَا
ص ًّما َّو عُ ْم َیانًا ِ َو الَّ ِذ ْینَ اِذَا ذُ ِك ُر ْوا ِب ٰا ٰی
َ ت َر ِب ِه ْم لَ ْم َی ِخ ُّر ْوا
)73 : 25 ,(ا ْلفُ ْرقَان
Translation:
And these are the people who, when they are directed and guided by
means of Revelations of their Lord, do not fall at them deaf and blind
(but reflect on them).
Explanation:
This verse emphasizes the importance of being attentive and
responsive when one is reminded of the signs and verses of Allah (God).
It calls on believers to not be spiritually deaf or blind when the
guidance from God is presented to them. In other words, it encourages
people to be open-hearted, receptive, and willing to reflect upon and
act upon the teachings and signs of God.
It reminds believers that mere recitation or hearing of verses is not
enough; they should engage with the message, internalize it, and strive
to live their lives in accordance with it. Being deaf and blind in this
context means ignoring or neglecting the profound wisdom and
guidance found in the Quran, which is considered a source of light and
guidance for Muslims .
اجنَا َو ذُ ِریهتِنَا قُ َّرةَ ا َ ْعیُ ٍن َّو اجْ عَ ْلنَا ِل ْل ُمت َّ ِق ْینَ اِ َما ًما
ِ َو الَّ ِذ ْینَ یَقُ ْولُ ْونَ َربَّنَا َه ْب لَنَا ِم ْن ا َ ْز َو
)74 : 25 ,(ا ْلفُ ْرقَان
Translation:
And these are the people who submit (before the presence of Allah): ‘O
our Lord, grant us coolness of eyes in our wives and our children, and
make us leaders of the God-fearing people.’
Explanation:
This verse is a supplication made by believers, asking Allah (God) to
bless them with righteous spouses and children who bring them
happiness and serve as examples for others in righteousness. It
emphasizes the importance of seeking a harmonious family life and the
aspiration for a pious and virtuous lineage.
In a broader context, this verse highlights the significance of making
sincere prayers to Allah and seeking His guidance in various aspects of
life, including family matters. It encourages believers to strive for piety
and set positive examples for others through their families.
س ٰل ًما َ ولٓىِٕكَ یُجْ َز ْونَ ا ْلغُ ْرفَةَ بِ َما
َ صبَ ُر ْوا َو یُلَقَّ ْونَ فِ ْیهَا ت َ ِحیَّةً َّو ٰ ُا
)75 : 25 ,(ا ْلفُ ْرقَان
Translation:
They will be rewarded with lofty palaces (in Paradise) as recompense for
their patience and steadfastness and will be welcomed therein with
greetings and salutations of peace.
Explanation:
The word sabr (fortitude) has been used here in its most
comprehensive sense. The true servants courageously endured their
persecution by the enemies of the truth; they remained firm and
steadfast in their struggle to establish Allah’s way in the land. They
carried out their duties enjoined by Allah sincerely and tearlessly
without any concern for the worldly losses and deprivation, and they
withstood all temptations held out by Satan and all the lusts of the
flesh.
Such people will be rewarded with the high place because the observed
patience and will be received therein with prayers of their eternal life
and peace.
ستَقَ ًّرا َّو ُمقَا ًما ُ ٰخ ِل ِد ْینَ ِف ْیهَا ؕ َح
ْ سنَتْ ُم
)76 : 25 ,(ا ْلفُ ْرقَان
Translation:
They will live therein forever. Those (lofty palaces in Paradise) are the
most excellent lodgings and (decent) abodes.
Explanation:
This verse is continuity of the previous (75:25) which explains that
those people who bear the hurdles with patience to establish Islam will
be rewarded with the best Upper places in Heaven, those places which
are excellent in heaven will be given to them.
ف یَك ُْو ُن ِل َزا ًما َ َعا ٓ ُؤكُ ْم ۚ فَقَ ْد َكذَّ ْبت ُ ْم ف
َ س ْو َ قُ ْل َما یَ ْعبَؤُا ِبكُ ْم َر ِب ْی لَ ْو ََل ُد
)77 : 25 ,(ا ْلفُ ْرقَان
Translation:
Say: ‘My Lord cares little for you if you do not worship (Him). But you
have indeed rejected (Him). So now this (denial) will ever endure as a
permanent torment (for you).’
Explanation:
In this verse, Allah instructs the Prophet Muhammad to respond to the
disbelievers who mockingly ask him about the effectiveness of his
supplication. The verse is emphasizing the idea that those who reject
faith and persist in disbelief will not benefit from the Prophet’s prayers
or supplications. It underscores the importance of sincere faith and
belief in the effectiveness of prayer. This verse serves as a reminder of
the consequences of rejecting the message of Islam and highlights the
importance of faith in the life of a believer.
