INTRODUCTION
Meditronix Corporation, an ISO9001:2015 certified company has taken a giant leap with a humble beginning
in 1979. We specialise in Dosimetry, Patient Positioning, Radiation Protection, Quality Assurance and
Calibration Services for Radiation Oncology, Nuclear Medicine and Radiology QA. We strive to work closely
with our customers to design and provide safe radiation handling solutions.

Our another company, Radimage Healthcare India Pvt. Ltd., is recognised by the Atomic Energy Regulatory
Board and Accredited by N.A.B.L. India for calibration of Radiation Monitoring Instruments since 2014. Now,
we have established calibration facility for Nuclear Medicine Dose Calibrators which is N.A.B.L. Accreditated.
Future plans include, calibration facility for Secondary Standard Dosimeters, Brachytherapy Well Chambers,
Radiology QA tools and Personal Monitoring Laboratory.

For Radiation Monitoring Instruments and Dose Calibrators
We are the pioneers and leaders in establishing Calibration Laboratories in India. Being the largest supplier for radiation
monitoring instruments for over three decades, we have realised the need for a professional service and calibration setup. We
initiated this process in year 2010 and got recognition from Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB), Govt. of India in 2014.
We have calibrated over 8000 instruments till date for India and abroad.
In the year 2019 we realised the need for a similar facility for Nuclear Medicine Dose Calibrators. Being distributor for Biodex
and Capintec for over 20 years we have sold and supported over 450 Dose Calibrators across India. Finally, in year 2021 we
received accreditation from NABL for this unique facility being first in India. These facilities are available at our Noida factory.
Presently, we are establishing calibration facility at our Greater Noida factory for Secondary Standard Dosimeters and
Brachytherapy Well Chambers. Hopefully, these facilities will be ready soon. For Brachy Well Chambers we will have dual source
facility using, Iridium and Cobalt-60.

The Klarity SBRT System is simple to use, highly indexable and easily adjustable.

Klarity SBRT System (R62400)


The standard SBRT System includes the Klarity-K™
Carbon Fiber Baseplate, the Klarity WingSpan™
Baseplate with accompanying WingSpan™ vacuum
bag, an adjustable belly bridge with compression
paddle, an adjustable knee bridge with a vacuum
bag, and a removable leg posi oner. The system also
comes with two indexing bars, and it is compa ble
with standard thorax masks and different headrests.

The Klarity-K™ Carbon Fiber Baseplate is lightweight


and durable, with handgrip holes on either side for
easier placement and hanging op ons. The SBRT
Baseplate indexes to the couch top in two places, and
scalloped edges allow the belly and knee bridge to be
indexed in the best posi on for the pa ent. The
height of the belly and knee bridges can be adjusted
quickly, and the bridges lock and unlock without fuss.
The SBRT System is also equipped with an ergonomic
belly compression paddle. An op onal respiratory
belt designed to maximize pa ent comfort while

The Alderson Radia on Therapy (ART) Phantom is a refined and improved


version of the Alderson RANDO Phantom in both design and materials. ART
Phantoms are designed within highly sophis cated technological constraints
and follow ICRU-44 standards. Addi onally, they provide integrated tests of
the en re chain of treatment planning and delivery.

The male ART represents a 175 cm (5 . 9 in.) tall, 73.5 kg (162 lb.) male, and
the female ART represents a 155 cm (5 . 1 in.) tall, 50 kg (110 lb.) female.

The ART Phantom is transacted-horizontally into 2.5 cm thick slices. Each slice
has holes which are plugged with bone-equivalent, so - ssue-equivalent or
lung ssue equivalent pins which can be replaced by TLD holder pins. Holder
pins may be ordered separately.

So - ssue-equivalent coa ngs produce slices with glass smooth interfaces.


These coa ngs are cut away over the air spaces of the oronasal pharynges,
trachea, and stem bronchi. Dosimetry holes are drilled in grids 3 cm x 3 cm or
1.5 cm x 1.5 cm in 5 and 7 mm diameters thereby allowing for detailed
measurements of dose distribu ons.

Dosimetry in the Spherical Phantom


When the center of the sphere is used as the target for tes ng the
treatment unit, it must indicate the rela onship between the point of
maximum dose and the target. These should closely coincide for an
accurate system. A three-dimensional dosimetry cylinder at the center of
the sphere measures both the devia on of the maximum dose from the
target and the gradient of the dose along the three orthogonal axes of the
sphere.

The TLD dosimetric cylinder is a stack of dry-water disks of 44 mm in


diameter. Seven of the disks have concentric rings of holes for TLD rods, 1
mm in diameter and 3 mm long. Disk #4 is in the central plane of the
cylinder. A smaller target disk is at the center of this disk. It has a
Hounsfield number of about 130 for visibility in a CT scan. The disks are
assembled ghtly by two nylon rods and round, blind nuts, which locate the cylinder precisely, linearly and
angularly, in both sphere and head.

The Film Dosimetric Cylinder


This is an op onal cylinder, interchangeable with the TLD cylinder. It is built up of 11 film disks and 12 dry-water
disks with the same nylon assembly rods and blind nuts. A simple fixture is supplied so the user can punch the film
disks from film sheets.

Patient Shielding
Tungsten Eye Shield (Imported)
Provides adequate protec on of the ocular structure for electrons or superficial
shielding. Each eye shield is coated with a 2mm minimum thickness of dental acrylic
on the bean entrance of the shield to reduce electron backsca er to eyelid. 2mm
tungsten shield should be used for 6 MeV and the 3mm tungsten shield should be
used for 9 MeV. These are not recommended for use above 9 MeV.

Testicle Shield (MEC)


Made of lead with painted surface and are designed to reduce sca er radia on to the tes cles.
Each unit is cast to provide a lead wall thickness of ½” and features an open sector to allow
comfortable a achment to the pa ent. All surfaces are coated with polyurethane paint to
reduce lead exposure.
The shield’s top and bo om sec ons are secured with either the two rubber straps, provided, or
with nylon tape. When using the tes cle shield stand, no straps are needed. A special dome and
groove between the two halves of the shield, stop leakage and prevent them from sliding apart.
