Principals Post . . .
Dear Fox Cub Families, I am writing as a follow up to the tragic events that occurred last month in Newtown, Connecticut. Our hearts go out to all that were directly affected on that day. I have personally found no words to fully capture the emotions that so many of us felt and continue to feel to some degree. Prior to the Connecticut incident we reviewed our schools emergency procedures. Modifications to these plans were made as a result and we will continue to monitor these plans for areas of improvement. Since we have returned from the winter break we have also taken further actions that we believe will strengthen the security of our building. Additionally we have been in communication with our districts safety and security supervisor to further discuss emergency procedures here at DFES. I sincerely thank you for entrusting our faculty and staff for the well being of our beloved Fox Cubs while they are here with us on a daily basis. Please know that I am readily available by way of email, phone, or conference should you have any questions or recommendations. Thanks again! Julius Scott, Principal

Recognition Ads recognize 5th graders for their hard work in elementary school. The ad is the size of a business card and allows for one photo of your choice with a message from you to your child.
