Treated with the Active Ingredient Permethrin
What is No Fly Zone?
A permethrin-based technology that helps prevent the spread of insect-borne diseases by repelling insects from the body through clothing, uniforms or gear.

What is Permethrin?
A man-made insecticide, effective against multiple species of crawling and flying insects, including mosquitoes, ticks, ants, chiggers, flies, and midges.

Application
The patented process is achieved by cross linking permethrin onto fabrics before manufacturing. This binding system provides a uniform application across the fabric and unprecedented durability.

Overall Safety
For the general public, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends use of permethrin-treated clothing when traveling to areas where they will be exposed to disease carrying insects. Product has been registered with the EPA and tested by the United States Military.

Global Threat of Infectious Diseases

Internationally, there is growing concern regarding insect-borne disease. Infectious diseases remain the third leading cause of death in the United States each year, and the second leading cause of death worldwide. For many of these insect-borne diseases there are no vaccines or therapeutic drugs, and preventative measures are vital for disease protection.

Performance
In a field trial, persons wearing permethrin-treated uniforms and 35% Deet (on exposed skin) had more than 99% protection (1 bite/hour) over eight hours, even under conditions of intense biting pressures...unprotected persons have received an average of 1188 bites/hour. (1)

Durability
Fabric testing has indicated incredible durability with an 80% retention rate after 25 home launderings and 70% after 50 home launderings.

This 50% nylon/ 50% cotton ripstop cloth is the fabric of choice for the U.S. Army. NYCO promotes good color integrity and superior durability. (NIR Compliant Fabric).

COTTON/ POLYESTER TWILL

This 60% cotton/ 40% polyester, heavy weight cloth is also a very sturdy and long-life performer in the Public Safety community. Manufactured in a twill weave, this cloth promotes good color integrity and easy care.

100% COTTON RIPSTOP

This is a lighter weight cloth in a ripstop weave that breathes well and is initially durable. Consistent with other cotton fabrics, the color will fade quickly, and over time the cotton fibers will lose their strength under industrial wear and laundering. If color integrity is an important end-user expectation, please do not choose this cloth. PropperTM will not honor returns on this cloth for color loss over any period of time.

These tapes are 100% cotton, with a choice of 34 and 1 2 lettering. The name tapes may be purchased individually, or they can be attached to the PropperTM uniform prior to shipping. Embroidered logos are also available per your desired stitch count. ORGANIZATION PATCH ATTACHMENT Your customers shoulder and chest patches can be attached to their PropperTM uniforms prior to shipping. This added service allows PropperTM uniforms to arrive ready to wear.
