I remember wat ching Pat ch Adams i t s my favori t e movie, act uall y. I t s one
great fi lm t hat will help you improve yoursel f. Hunt er pat ch Adams is a medical
st udent who fail ed t o make i t t hr ough t he
board exams. Aft er mont hs of sufferi ng in
melanchol y, depression and suicidal at t empt s
he decided t o seek for medi cal at t ent i on
and volunt ari ly admit t ed himself i n a
psychiat ri c ward. His mont hs of st ay in t he
hospit al led him t o meet i ng di fferent kinds of
peopl e. Si ck people i n t hat mat t er. He met a
cat at onic, a ment al ly ret arded, a
schi zophrenic and so on. Pat ch found ways of
t reat i ng hi s own ai lment and finally realized
he has t o get back on t rack. He woke up one
mor ni ng reali zing t hat aft er all t he fai lure and
pains he has gone t hr ough, he st i ll want t o
become a doct or. He carries wit h himself a
posit ive at t it ude t hat brought him self improvement and success. He
di dnt only improved himself, but al so t he li fe of t he people around him and t he
qual it y of li fe. Di d he succeed? Needl ess t o say, he became t he best damn doct or
hi s count ry has ever known.

St op t hinking and feeling as if youre a failure, because youre
not . How can ot hers accept you if YOU cant accept YOU?

When you see hunks and models on TV, t hi nk more on sel f
improvement , not sel f pit ying. Self accept ance i s not j ust about havi ng
ni ce slender l egs, or great abs. Concent rat e on inner beaut y.

When people feel so down and l ow about t hemselves, help t hem
move up. Dont go down wi t h t hem. Theyll pull you down furt her and
bot h of you will end up feeli ng inferi or.

The world is a large room for lessons, not mist akes. Dont feel
st upid and doomed forever j ust because you fail ed on a science qui z.
Theres always a next t ime. Make rooms for sel f improvement .

When your e willing t o accept change and go t hr ough t he pr ocess
of self i mprovement , i t doesnt mean t hat everyone else i s. The world is a
pl ace where peopl e of differ ent val ues and at t i t ude hang out . Somet imes,
